Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
JP Pickles- North Florida Christian c/o 24
6’1 198lbs
Pickles was one Of the top quarterbacks in the State over the last three seasons, he was outstanding for Eagles this season leading them to a 9-4 record, district championship, and into the State Semifinals game. Pickles led the district in passing with 2891 yards, completing 56%, with 27 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1249 yards and 13 touchdowns! Pickles signed with UTEP.
Strengths:
- Top notch arm talent
- Good mechanics
- Presence in the pocket
George Grant- Maclay High c/o 25
6’0 150lbs
Grant was a first year starter and had an unbelievable season, receiving All-District honors. He led the Marauders to the State playoffs. Grant finished second in the district throwing for 2458 yards, completing 65% of his passes with 22 touchdowns. He also led the team in rushing with 944 yards and 13 touchdowns! Grant is a 3-sport athlete (Baseball, Basketball) and will be one of the top returning quarterbacks in the district and in the State in 2024.
Strengths:
- Speed/playmaking ability
- Quick decision maker
- Arm strength to let the ball rip through tight windows
Jaeyon Wimes- Munroe High c/o 26
6’1 180lbs
Wimes is a prospect with a lot of raw talent and was very good as a first-year starter. He finished third in the district in passing, throwing for 1159 yards, completing 55% of his passes with 10 touchdowns. Wimes is a two-sport (Basketball) athlete and someone to watch out for this spring.
Strengths:
- Accuracy throwing on the run
- Ball placement
- Flashes ability to look off defenders and attack the opposite side of the field
