This was probably the most impressive performance I have seen from a tackle yet this season, and I have watched multiple P4 committed/offered linemen. For starters, Zander is way more mobile and athletic than most high school offensive linemen. He had no issue getting downfield and executing blocks in space. When he got his mitts on the defender, it typically ended with the defender on his back. His pass blocking was just as solid. His quick feet allows him to slide and stay in front of the pass rusher without leaning or getting out of position. I love what I saw out of him and will be watching for his commitment- someone is getting a good one!

Steady as they come. At this point in Zander’s high school career, he’s seen it all.
Zander did a good job protecting his QB. He’s a polished pass blocker and handled everything that Mt. Pleasant threw at him. I also like how close Zander is with his QB- a lot of trust and communication there.
Still uncommitted. I’m looking forward to seeing where Zander ends up playing his college ball.

I feel like Zander will have a good day protecting the QB and laying a path for his running backs.
I’ve scouted Zander several times during the 2025 and 2024 offseasons. I know what he’s about. A very capable blocker who will eliminate you from the play if you don’t avoid his initial punch. Watching a small amount of Mt. Pleasant tape, I feel that Zander will have a successful day. I’m interested in seeing how Zander potentially blocks at the second level- those Mt. Pleasant linebackers look well-coached.
The Dow offensive line is going to make or break this unit. All eyes will be on the Dow offense versus the Mt. Pleasant defense.

I am impressed with the tape that Zander put up against Mt. Pleasant. He’s showing exactly what I expect: a ton of power and effort from the right tackle position. His best highlights show pancakes where he plays through the whistle- which is rare for a lineman. The highlight at 0:12, in particular, shows a solid pass set where he punishes the smaller, weaker defensive end. 0:17 shows Zander with a great block which opens up a huge hole for his running back. It was incredibly obvious that Zander’s skill was far ahead of the opposing defenders.
I still would like to see better footwork from Zander. I like that he immediately puts his hands up on pass sets, and he actually looks improved in that area, but the footwork still needs some work. As for run blocking, he tends to lead with a false step. Still, a dominant performance for Zander, and I’m looking forward to seeing how he does against solid teams like Lapeer later this season.
