He projects as an interior lineman once he puts weight on his frame with his ability to anchor and really use his quickness, he is going to be an impact 3 tech or 5 tech. Flaherty is one of the more polished true edge rushers across Idaho and is a natural bender around the edge, explosive off the ball and wins with heavy hands and a variety of pass rush moves at his disposal. He is technically sound against both the run and the pass and is a quick processor that wins with initial power, backside pursuit and a high motor. He has recently earned walk-on opportunities to the hometown Idaho and Idaho State and offers from Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho. Heading into the first national signing day, he could be a late steal for a program down the stretch, and is a name to note in the coming weeks.

Flaherty has been on a tear this season with his ability to rush the passer. He is a powerful defensive lineman that really has the ability to use a bull rush but is quick enough to get around the edge. He picked up a big offer from the University of Idaho this week and will be continuing to be on the radar for college coaches. His big play ability on the edge and his frame will allow him to play a 5 technique or kick inside add weight a play the 3 technique.
