! Representing Rogers High School – and representin’ well, I may add – Harris is much more athletic than anticipated, popping off a 4.78 laser-verified 40, 4.29 shuttle, and 8’11 broad at 5’10, 140 lbs. with 9.75″ hands, and he was also up there as one of the most dynamic athletes in attendance. Natural route runner who could consistently create separation at the LOS or at the top of the route thanks to his combination of quickness and burst, and he was sure-handed and showed a comfortability in competition and 1v1 pressure. Should be a huge season for Harris with the 6A Royals.

Harris is a 2027 athlete who needs more looks ahead of his senior season. Every single one of his tests was in the top 11 for the session, including a 4.78 40 (11th), a shocking 4.29 shuttle (2nd), a great 6.84 L-drill (5th), and a solid 8’11” broad jump (9th). He also had a shocking 9.75″ hand measurement. Harris has previously played both QB and WR, and with that level of athletic upside, the sky might be the limit for where and what he plays after his senior campaign. I’ll be waiting to see what he does this fall, including if he takes over that Rogers QB1 spot.

One of the biggest surprises of the combine was sophomore Derrick Harris. Despite not being as built as some of the other competitors, Harris has an absolute rocket for an arm and was hitting high-level throws that you would expect from a multi-year starter. He wasn’t on my radar before this showcase, but rest assured that has been amended. Definitely a 6A prospect to get to know.
