2A championship game
A. Phillip Randolph
In the PSAL 2A Semifinals, it was APR avenging a regular season loss with a dominant win over Frank J Macchiarola. And the player that stole the show was the star sophomore Travis Gamble Travis Gamble 5’10” | 175 lbs | ATH A. Philip Randolph | 2026 State NY . He simply couldn’t be stopped on the ground and the elusive playmaker was borderline unstoppable whenever he had the chance to make a play. Gamble is a player that could make an impact anywhere on the field and he’ll be a big reason if Randolph wins back to back titles on Saturday.
The senior leader for APR is another do it all guy. Perez has been great on the ground and he’s also a threat as a receiver. But on defense will be a crucial part to his teams success on Saturday. South Shore has an explosive offense and some of the best athletes in the entire PSAL. Perez, who has 3 INT’s and has been great in coverage, will need to play at his best and do a great job at locking down receivers like Angelo Guzman and other South Shore playmakers that have torn up the 2A Division. The senior leadership of Perez and quarterback Jaden Haly Jaden Haly 5’10” | 170 lbs | QB A. Philip Randolph | 2025 SC will go a long way in this game for APR.

One of the most explosive players in the PSAL. Robertson has the ability to make anybody miss in the open field and he can take it to the house at any given moment. Robertson leads the team in rushing with over 700 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. He also has contributed 40 tackles on defense. In big games this season is when Robertson shines. Against FJM, was the Sheldon Robertson Sheldon Robertson 6’0″ | 180 lbs | RB South Shore | 2024 State NY show. They’ll look to give the talented junior a lot of touches on championship saturday.
Jakhi Plaisime
Jakhi Plaisime
Robertson’s partner in crime in this backfield has been amazing all year. Plaisime is an elite dual threat quarterback that has taken the PSAL 2A Division by storm this season. He can air it out downfield with the best of them in this division. And on the ground, he’s been so elusive in the open field and has had a knack for finding the endzone. This game has high scoring written on it and Plaisime will have to have another big game.
3A championship game
DeWitt Clinton
Clinton’s quarterback has turned it on during this hot streak and has helped Clinton run through the AAA. Barreras is a dual threat QB that has been making plays all year. His ability to scramble and extend plays for his team has been excellent all year. He’s displayed great accuracy and has gotten better every single game. On the big stage he’ll have to make smart decisions and be responsible with the football. But watch for him to test this Boys and Girls defense downfield thanks to his strong arm and great receiving core.
Highlights
Calvin Collins
Calvin Collins
Arguably the top receiver in the 3A and one of the best playmakers in the Bronx. The ability to create separation has proven to be too easy for Collins. He has burned his defenders downfield all season long. In man coverage, nobody has had an answer for Collins in the 3A division. Despite being just 5’10, Collins can go up and get it with the best of them. He can make adjustments to come down with contested catches, and his athleticism in open space is scary to watch.
Boys and Girls
Without a doubt one of the top linebackers in this division. Ryan has had a statement junior season as one of the top 2025 prospects in the PSAL. At the linebacker spot, he has been a tackling machine every single game. He has sideline to sideline ability and delivers some bone crushing hits. Against a big Clinton O-line who helps provide a great rushing attack, Ryan will have to be at his best. He’ll be counted on to be a terrific run stopper and an all around leader for Boys and Girls. Ryan is also a tremendous running back who will need to get the ground game going early in this one.
Highlights
Jalen Smith
Jalen Smith
Smith is one of the most dynamic players in the division. He plays quarterback, leads the defense at safety and will be return specialists for this Boys and Girls team. Smith is going to need to make plays all over the field. He is second in the conference with 11 touchdowns and Boys and Girls will look to get him into space to make plays. Smith will have to anchor this secondary against an explosive Clinton passing attack. Look out for Smith to be an all around playmaker in his last ever high school game.
