Cole shows good balance as a runner. Defenders need to make sure they wrap up to bring him down. He also can take what looks like a dead play up the middle and bounce it outside for a big play. He can get to the edge before defenders can disengage their blocks and turn the corner to gain extra yards. Cole is a player to watch as Highland Springs takes on Manchester.

Joshua is causing problems on Highland Springs’ defensive line. He is quick off the ball and has very good strength. He can split double teams while keeping his eyes on the ball to make the tackle after he sheds the block. He can also pass rush with good finish on the QB to affect the play. He is a player to watch in Highland Spring’s game today as well. He currently holds an offer from North Carolina A&T and deserves more.

Tedruhn Tucker
Tedruhn is a power back who utilizes his good strength and balance to break tackles. He has good burst through the hole after allowing his blocks to develop displaying good acceleration. He is a good inside runner and willing to take on Linebackers who meet him in the hold. He possesses enough speed to get to the edge on outside runs and turn upfield where he can then utilize his break tackle ability to gain more yardage as defenders catch up to him. He also plays Linebacker on defense and shows the ability to make plays on the line of scrimmage as well in pass coverage. He is a great player making great plays for Galax, and schools ought to be taking a look at his tape.

Aidan Lowe
Aidan is putting up a very good season for Honaker! This year, he has 974 Rushing Yards on 117 Carries for an average of 8.3 Yds/Car and has 11 Rushing TDs. On top of that, he has 42 Receptions for 586 yards with an average of 14 Yds/Rec, plus an additional 9 Receiving TDs for a total of 20 TDs this year. As a running back, he has a good combination of balance and speed. He will lower his shoulder to lay the hit on defenders who will bounce off of him. He displays patience to allow his blocks to develop with good burst through the hole. Schools need to be taking a look at Aidan’s film as well.

Tyler Cole
When turning on Tyler’s tape, you instantly notice his good height and size in comparison to every other player on the field. On top of that, he is a better athlete than many on the field. He has quick feet and solid speed with very good strength. I personally like him best on Defensive Line. He is quick off the ball and can get his hand engaged on offensive linemen to set himself up to shed the block and make a tackle. He can take on double teams and split those and affect the play. He is relentless through the whistle. He also plays Right Tackle on offense and is an anchor on Honaker’s line. Tyler’s play has been a major part of Honaker’s undefeated season.
