Periman was the backup quarterback last season but while he wasn’t in the game at QB, Periman would also play several different positions as he’s a terrific athlete that has the ability to do several things well, specifically on the offensive side of the ball. But the expectations right now are for Periman to be QB1 of the Lions this season. He had to miss time this spring with an injury but the Lions believe he’ll be ready to go this season. Whether he lines up at quarterback or somewhere else on the field, we think that Periman will have a big impact on the Lions this season.

might be at the top of the list. He and Carter can battle it out for that title perhaps. Periman has been playing lights out over the last month of the season. He’s Blanchard’s leading wide receiver when it comes to touchdown receptions with 12. He caught two more in the semifinal win over Poteau last week. In fact, half of Periman’s touchdown receptions have come in the last four games alone. He is playing outstanding football for the Lions. And we didn’t even bring up what he can do on the defensive side of the ball as well.

is one of them. At wide receiver, he’s one of Cooksey’s biggest targets. He’s also one of three receivers to have at least 500 yards this season. But Periman is a massive threat in the red zone with his size. And he leads the team in touchdown receptions with ten on the season. Like we mentioned with Cooksey, the Lions are facing a stout Poteau defense. If they get good field position, they have to be able to take advantage of it. And Periman will be a big key to getting points on the board.
