Palicki’s massive night came both in the air and on the ground in a big win for Willowbrook against Oak Park – River Forest. Palicki combined for over 500 yards on night, with 348 passing and 178 rushing. He also combined for 5 total touchdowns. The 6’4, 215 lbs quarterback is currently uncommitted, but it’s easy to see why he will be playing at the next level after he finishes his final campaign this fall. Plain and simple, Palicki is slept on. His combination of size, speed, and arm talent won’t go unnoticed for long, as he is sure to make a name for himself the rest of the regular season and into the playoffs.
Highlights
Jack Finn
Jack Finn
Finn had a big night as the Wolves rolled to a win over Burlington Central. The 5’11, 165 lb running back found the end zone 3 times and tallied 144 yards from the line of scrimmage. While multiple rushers for Prairie Ridge had big nights, Finn stood out most with his ability to get vertical and score. In PR’s offense, Finn played a downhill style of game that allowed him to cut through open lanes and ultimately take the ball to the house. Keep an eye on Finn, and the Wolves, throughout the rest of the way.
Hayden Hodgson
Hayden Hodgson
The 6’4, 210 lbs junior had a career night. Hodgson hauled in 7 receptions for 134 yards and added 2 touchdowns. The big and physical tight end, who also excels in basketball for Genoa-Kingston, impressed with his athleticism, soft hands, and ability to run after the catch. He is always a threat in the red zone, as his large frame and elite body control allows him to box out defenders and go up to get the football. Hodgson is a rising prospect who will continue to turn heads throughout his football career.
Cole Ostendorf
Cole Ostendorf
This isn’t the first time Ostendorf has been named a Top Player of the Week, and it may not be his last. The York senior linebacker once again posted a monster night, as he totaled 19 tackles, one of which was for loss. On the season, Ostendorf has tallied 69 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. The downhill and physical LB plays with a constant motor, one that keeps him from being denied in any situtation. Whether its rushing the passer, stuffing the run, or chasing down a ball carrier on the perimeter, you will always find Ostendorf around the ball.
The Yorkville defensive back had another big night, as Zook took the ball away twice. By adding 2 more interceptions to his resume, the junior safety has been putting together quite the season. Zook measures in at 6’1, 185 lbs and starting to see Division I attention. Zook covers a lot of ground, as he plays with polished technique and eye discipline. He has a nose for the football and can drive on routes in a hurry. Additionally, Zook gets downhill in a hurry and showcases the ability to make tackles in the open field. Keep an eye on this rising junior over the next two seasons.
