Old Tappan (6-0) vs. Ramapo (6-0)

There aren't too many undefeated matchups left in the state. Luckily, we have a meeting of two great programs in Ramapo this weekend. Old Tappan is coming to town with one of the most impressive all around teams in the state.

Old Tappan has been rolling all season, and are currently on a 3 game shut out streak. Only letting up 26 points in 6 games, they've been putting points on the board effortlessly (240 points on the season.) I have highlighted Old Tappan before, so this addition will bring attention to others on the roster that are stepping up this season. One of those players is [player_tooltip player_id='1557397' first='Ronan' last='Malady']. While he only has 5 receptions on the season, he has turned 4 of those into touchdowns. The junior playmaker also has 17 tackles on defense. Speaking of defenses, Old Tappan has talent at every level. One of the stand out performers is [player_tooltip player_id='1040327' first='Devyn' last='Radoian']. Bringing in 43 tackles, 2 sacks, and returning a fumble for a touchdown, Devyn is quickly becoming a cornerstone of this defense. Last but not least is Antonio Campagna, who has used his opportunities well by sacking the QB twice and forcing one interception.

As impressive as Old Tappan is, Ramapo is right up there with them. In fact, Ramapo has not lost to Old Tappan in over 5 years. As Old Tappan as shut out their last 3 opponents, Ramapo has shut out their last 4. While Old Tappan has 240 points in 6 games, Ramapo has 242. This may be one of the best matchups in New Jersey we will see all season. Ramapo is led by the Harvard commit [player_tooltip player_id='918873' first='Landon' last='Deprima']. Landon is on pace for some of the biggest stats in the state. With 1522 yards through the air and 289 on the ground, Landon has also found the end zone often as he has passed for 22 touchdowns and ran for another 3. Landon has a reliable downfield threat in Zach Schnorrbusch. Don't let Zach get behind the defender, because Landon has the ability to toss the rock and let Zach run underneath it. He already has 633 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on the season. He's also impactful on defense, as he has 3 picks on the season and returned one for a touchdown. A riser on the team on both sides of the ball is [player_tooltip player_id='1023090' first='Charlie' last='Wingfield']. Charlie has 223 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns, but also has 2 sacks and 33 tackles on defense. He is growing into a true playmaker wherever he lines up.

Cherokee (5-1) vs. Kingsway (5-2)

10/13 6pm @ Kingsway

Cherokee is another team that is on a hot streak, not letting up a point in 3 weeks. However, Cherokee has a tough opponent in back to back weeks as they face off against Kingsway this Friday and Millville the next. Offensively, the team has a powerful back in [player_tooltip player_id='1041986' first='Murad' last='Campfield']. Murad, who recently visited Penn State, has ran for 742 and 7 touchdowns through 6 games. Cherokee is loaded on defense with [player_tooltip player_id='1089934' first='Leo' last='Bluestein'] and [player_tooltip player_id='462997' first='Austin' last='Lenart'] playing a big part in their success. These two have combined for 8 sacks, 84 tackles, and both have returned a fumble for a touchdown. This defense can hold their own and are extremely hard to score against.

Kingsway is a strong 2 loss program that is currently on a 2 game win streak. A lot of their success stems from [player_tooltip player_id='826553' first='Benny' last='Liles'] III torturing defensive backfields. Benny already has 10 receiving touchdowns on the season and 754 yards to go with it. The also have a reliable runner in the backfield in Neumann Rojas, who has rushed for 460 yards and found the end zone 9 times. On the defensive side of the ball, [player_tooltip player_id='999503' first='Kyle' last='Nordone'] is holding it down with 20 tackles and 4 sacks on the season.
