Speed was the order of the day at last year's Palmetto Combine.

There were 17 guys in the 2025 Class who ran faster than 22 miles per hour at the combines. Six of those are featured in the PRZ rankings. Here's a look at those six, and at the ways they use their speed to take over games.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012592' first='Hakeem' last='Watters'] RB Hartsville

What happens when Watters is able to get to his top-end speed? Well, a lot, and none of it is good for defense. He needs a tiny window to dart through the line, and if he makes it to the second level, your chances of stopping him fall dramatically. He's patient, he's shifty, and he can be gone in a second.

[player_tooltip player_id='272702' first='Jevon' last='Edwards'] RB South Aiken

It would be easy for a back to get lost on an offense that features a dynamic dual-threat QB. Unless you're Edwards, that is. The Thoroughbreds feature back actually leads the team in carries, is second in rushing yardage, and has scored four times. He does it primarily with his speed, which makes him a devastating complementary player.

[player_tooltip player_id='464882' first='Jamarcus' last='Williams'] R Hannah-Pamplico

It's not just Williams' (pictured) speed that makes him so dangerous, it's his ability to get to top speed so quickly, and then to get back there after any kind of elusive move. He dodges, he cuts, he even jumps through defenders, and he's almost immediately off and flying again.

[player_tooltip player_id='272699' first='Da'Marion' last='Coe'] DB Hartsville

Coe has elite closing speed and a nose for the ball, which allows him to snuff out plays when he diagnoses them and chase them down if he doesn't. He's a terror for the Foxes in the defensive backfield, and a nightmare when he's returning kicks.

[player_tooltip player_id='605526' first='Tyler' last='Morgan'] DB Wren

Morgan is a great cover guy, but his speed really shows when he steps up in run support for the Hurricanes. It mean's he's almost never in a position he can't recover from, he's able to fly to the ball, and he's a sure, physical tackler when he gets there. He's also one of the top kick returners in the Upstate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012637' first='Jackson' last='Repp'] WR, Christ Church

Repp uses his speed in a lot of ways for the Cavaliers, and he's already got nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards this season on a team that's often run-first. He runs good routes, he's got a nasty hesitation step, but often he just runs past defenders with blazing straight-line speed.
