Week 5: Record Breaking Games and Performances

Take a look at what happened at the games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">10/02- Hilton Cadets vs. Webster Schroeder Warriors:</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The record-breaking and tying games that we saw on Friday night that had us all in shock.&nbsp;The Hilton Cadets, who have a 4-0 record, took on the Webster Schroeder Warriors with a record of 2-2. Tyler Reger had a heck of a night running and catching the football. Reger had 15 carries for 250 rushing yards and 6 rushing TDs! He also had 5 receptions for 56 yards and 1 TD. Reger set the Cadets' program record with 7 TDs. Nevertheless, his ability to accelerate around the edge and cut on a dime was outstanding to watch. It granted him the ability to break off tackles and gain an edge to score. Reger has a high competitiveness, which we saw on the reception TD. He ripped the ball from the defenders' hands in a contested situation and came down for six. On a quick last-minute drive before halftime. Wade ran a clean in-breaking route back to the QB. Furthermore, this catch resulted in getting inside the red area. Evidently action was thrown Wade's way. He caught a quick pass and turned it into a 45-yard TD. This TD blew the game open in the third quarter. Casey Pagano for Webster Schroeder showed up on multiple plays for the Warriors. Significantly, Pagano made key receptions that kept Webster Schroeder fighting. The biggest reception is when Pagano got behind the defense on a deep post. Pagano was able to walk into the end zone for a 46-yard TD. That was not Pagano's biggest play of the night as he recovered the opening onside kick after halftime. He came away with 224 total yards and 3 TDs. His 46-yard TD pass to Casey Pagano was perhaps his most impressive play through the air. Watkins did a great job extending the play and launching the football with accuracy. Throwing off balance with enough control helped place a great pass. Watkins kept fighting as his QB sneak at the 9:25 mark in the third quarter kept the Warriors within grasp. Watkins does have a strong presence to him and will drive the football with a high velocity. Cotton has a lot of speed and moves that were unleashed in this game. Cotton had 8.4 per carry, with 194 rushing yards and a TD. Thereupon, Froman connected on a 36-yard TD with Myron Stamps in the second quarter. Froman finished with 105 passing yards and 2 TDs.
