As we reach the midway point of the season, several wide receivers across DFW are beginning to make their presence felt. While they may not always receive the headlines, these under-the-radar playmakers are putting together impactful performances and showing the talent to make a bigger impact as the season progresses. Here's a look at some of the midseason wide receivers making noise and turning heads on Friday nights.

With 25 receptions for 443 receiving yards, Leo Williams has established himself as one of the more productive wide receivers in Class 6A this season. The Bluehawks' standout receiver has been a reliable target and a consistent deep threat, using his combination of speed, route-running ability, and natural playmaking instincts to create explosive plays.

Williams has the athletic profile to match his production. He has been clocked at 10.6 seconds in the 100-meter dash and was part of a record-setting 4x100-meter relay team in 2025, showcasing the elite speed that translates directly to the football field.

Last season, Williams earned Second Team All-District honors, and with five games remaining, his current production has him in position to make a strong push for First Team All-District recognition. Reaching the 1,000-yard receiving mark is also within reach, while his continued development could put him on the radar of college programs.

Williams' ability to separate vertically, run precise routes, and consistently make plays downfield makes him a difficult matchup for opposing defenses. His speed is a game-changing asset, but his natural feel as a route runner is what makes him especially intriguing as a developing college prospect

https://twitter.com/Leo_Williams25

[player_tooltip player_id='2387316' first='Micah' last='Pearson'] is putting together a dominant season as one of the most productive wide receivers in Class 6A.
