Five offensive performers who powered Riverdale’s 57-7 win

Riverdale Baptist's offense combined big plays with steady execution in its 57-7 Homecoming and Senior Day win over Long Island Lutheran. Several long touchdowns and a strong running game set the tone early. These five players scored most of the Crusaders' touchdowns and helped keep the team in good field position all afternoon.

No. 1 [player_tooltip player_id='2445867' first='Barrington' last='Brady'] (QB) | 2028

Brady directed Riverdale Baptist's offense with accuracy in the 57-7 Homecoming and Senior Day win. He consistently placed the ball in positions that let receivers create after the catch. His 60-yard flea-flicker touchdown to [player_tooltip player_id='2445869' first='Davon' last='Trowell Jr.'] gave the Crusaders an early cushion. Brady later connected with Trowell on a short throw that turned into a 74-yard scoring play when the receiver zig-zagged from left to right across the field, pushing the lead to 43-7 at halftime. Brady also found [player_tooltip player_id='1128451' first='Aidan' last='Durham'] for a second-half touchdown.

No. 2 [player_tooltip player_id='2445869' first='Davon' last='Trowell Jr.'] (WR) | 2027

[player_tooltip player_id='2445869' first='Davon' last='Trowell Jr.'] was the primary deep threat, catching both of Brady's longest touchdown passes. The 60-yard flea-flicker displayed his ability to get behind the secondary, while the 74-yard score revealed his vision and elusiveness after the catch. Those two plays solely accounted for a significant portion of Riverdale Baptist's early lead and forced Long Island Lutheran to account for him on every down.

No. 3A [player_tooltip player_id='2445875' first='Braxton' last='Brady'] (RB) | 2029

[player_tooltip player_id='2445875' first='Braxton' last='Brady'] opened the scoring with a 49-yard sweep around the left corner that set the tone for the afternoon. The early touchdown immediately put pressure on Long Island Lutheran and established the ground game as a viable weapon. He didn't get many carries this game, but he's already in the conversation as one of the top running back prospects in his class.

No. 3B [player_tooltip player_id='945023' first='Tyric' last='Powell'] (RB) | 2027

Powell contributed in multiple phases, scoring on a sweep from the 20-yard line after a longer run earlier in the drive was nullified by a holding penalty. He also returned a kickoff for more than 30 yards, giving the offense a short field, and provided a chip block on [player_tooltip player_id='2445875' first='Braxton' last='Brady']'s opening touchdown. His combination of running and special-teams impact kept the Crusaders in advantageous field position for much of the first half. RBS top two-way player.

No. 5 [player_tooltip player_id='1128451' first='Aidan' last='Durham'] (WR) | 2028

Durham finished with a touchdown reception and was one of the offense's most reliable blockers. He drove a defender 10–12 yards downfield on [player_tooltip player_id='945023' first='Tyric' last='Powell']'s scoring sweep and sealed the corner on [player_tooltip player_id='2445875' first='Braxton' last='Brady']'s 49-yard touchdown run. Those run-game efforts complemented his ability to get open in the passing game, making him a consistent contributor all afternoon. Blocking by the wide receivers is usually overlooked, but it's hard to ignore when someone is one of the main reasons two rushing plays turned into touchdowns for RBS.
