Week 4 Shines The Spotlight On More Talent

Once again, this past week, the state of Florida was in the spotlight on the football field.   No matter where you went in this vast Sunshine State, there were prospects, in every class, making something positive happen on the football field.   As we spotlight and uncover more talent than any other source, we continue with a look at some gifted players did their thing with game-changing performances – and college coaches are watching.   Here are some of the players that we noticed this past week:   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2122902' first='Chayse' last='Brown'], WR/CB, Ruskin Lennard. One of the elite juniors in the state had a huge Week 4 with 9 catches for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. The FSU commitment is a top-rated prospect by Prep Redzone Florida.   2029 - [player_tooltip player_id='2336247' first='Martavius' last='Conway Jr']., QB, Tampa Bay Tech. Completed 12 of 14 passes for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 48-0 win over Plant. This sophomore is also getting it done in the classroom (3.5 GPA).   Cooper City Cowboys. Moved to 4-0 to start the season for the first time in nearly three decades as RB 2029 Demario Dixon finished with 19 carries for 157yds and 3 TDs. 4 receptions for 116 yards and 2 TDs. 2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1058482' first='Nick' last='Dyer'] went 9/10 for 261 yards and 2 TDs.   2028 – John Ryan Bastion, DB, Santa Rosa Beach South Walton. The junior had a productive fourth week with 9 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble and 2 key pass breakups. A baseball prospect, he is also a 4.2 GPA student.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2044614' first='Ryan' last='Browning'], QB, Wesley Chapel Wiregrass Ranch. Huge night for this impressive talent against rival Wesley Chapel as he went 14/18 for 314 yards 4 passing TDs and 0 INTs. 77.7% completion percentage!   2028 – Marciano Charles, SS/OLB, Naples First Baptist Academy. Has enjoyed a productive season so far with 23 total tackles, 2 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 4 tackles for loss and 1 sack. He is also getting it done in the classroom with a 3.1 GPA.   2029 - Joziah “JoJo” Ferrer, WR, Boca Raton Saint John Paul II Academy. This student/athlete caught 5 balls for 129 yards and a score. He also holds down a 3.3 GPA in the classroom.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2228684' first='Matthew' last='Goncalves'], LB, Orlando Innovation. Had a special Week 4 in a convincing win with 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble and 1 safety.   2027 - Lelan N'Kari D Green, LB/RB, Tallahassee North Florida Christian. This two-way starter had a game-high 22 tackles (11 solo), 2 strips – one for 88 yards and a score. He has 49 tackles in three games. His 3.65 GPA is also something very positive in his recruitment. 2027 – Anthony Hall, Athlete, Tampa Hillsborough. Played a big role in the Terriers' win with 5 tackles, 2 pass breakups and an interception on defense, and a huge catch on the offensive side of the ball.   2028 – Anderson Heater, WR/KR, Sarasota. This versatile student (3.7 GPA)/athlete had a 92-yard kickoff return, 68-yard punt return and 160 all-purpose yards in a big district win.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2365209' first='Chance' last='Houston'], QB, Tampa Catholic. In leading the Crusaders to a perfect 4-0 start, he completed 12 passes for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added 56 yards on the ground.   2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='2220392' first='Davion' last='Jackson'], WR/DB, St. Petersburg Catholic. This two-way speedster (4.3, 40) had 3 tackles and 1 interception on defense, and 101 receiving yards on offense.   2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2381621' first='Tyrese' last='Jefferson'], Athlete, Melbourne. Every week this outstanding sophomore is getting it done. This past week, this speedster had 268 yards on the ground and 2 catches for 28 yards.    2027 - Dazariyan Jenkins, Edge, Plant City. Has really made an impact in his final season at the high school level with 8 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 2 caused fumbles, 17 tackles and 5 hurries.   2028 – Jakyvion “KY” Kemp, RB, Apopka. This speedy (4.43, 40) junior ran for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Blue Darters. He is also a tremendous student (3.5 GPA) in the classroom.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1682756' first='Trace' last='Kulczar'], LB/DB, Windermere. This versatile defensive prospect has gotten off to a tremendous start with 44 tackles, 8 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles in the first four games.   2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='2075106' first='Elijah' last='Legrande'], RB/DE, Tampa Cambridge Christian. After a 1,500-yard season in 2025, he has been impressive again on the ground. Last week, he carried 16 times for 228 yards and 2 scores. His balance in the classroom (3.94) is also something that will open doors for him at the next level.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1870797' first='Matthew' last='Lucchese'], LB, Delray American Heritage. Has made an impact for one of the top independent teams in the state – with 10 solo tackles and a fumble recovery this past week. Also scored 1510 on his SAT!   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='1254253' first='Brycen' last='Marbrey'], QB, Winter Park Lake Howell. This honor roll student is one of the promising young prospects in the state as he showed this past week – by completing 9 passes for 262 yards and 5 scores. He also added 62 yards on the ground.   2027 – Gio Marenco, RB, Naples Gulf Coast. What a huge week this quality talent had, running for a school-record 405 yards and 6 touchdowns.   2028 - Nate Merrell Jr., QB, Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy. This talented junior completed 11 passes for 194 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also carried the ball for 30 yards and a score. College coaches are also impressed by his 3.5 GPA in the classroom.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='1163949' first='Lane' last='Rogers'], DE/FB, Panama City Bay. In helping to get his team to 3-1, he had 6 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and a sack. This track & field standout also boasts a 3.8 GPA in the classroom.   2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='1568036' first='Marcus' last='Stracke'], QB, Delray American Heritage. It has been quite a start for last year's first team All-State SSAC player with 71 of 96 for 1,208 yards and 14 touchdowns. This past week he was 15 of 17 for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns. He has also carried 6 times for 38 yards and a score. His work in the classroom (3.5 GPA).   2027 - Martae “Tae” Taylor Jr., RB/DB/KR, Punta Gorda Charlotte. This impressive athlete finished with 145 all-purpose yards as the Tarpons remained unbeaten. He also puts up an impressive 3.5 GPA in the classroom.   2028 - Nydrell Thigpen, RB/LB, Kissimmee Gateway. The exciting 6'0, 215-pounder ran for 207 yards and a score.   2031 - Brad Waggoner Jr., QB, Blountstown. This 8th grader has been impressive so far this season and last week the 5'11, 190-pounder threw for 274 yards and 3 scores. Has already established himself in the classroom (3.8 GPA) as well. His father happens to be the head coach!   2027 – Aaden Williams, LB/Athlete, Blountstown. This under-the-radar player had another solid week – with 12 tackles and a forced fumble. Colleges are also interested in what he is doing in the classroom (3.1 GPA) as well.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='1617150' first='Malicah' last='Williams'], CB, Gainesville Eastside. In Week 4 against Belleview, he had 7 tackles, 3 pass breakups and scored 1 touchdown. He also has a 3.9 GPA in the classroom.
