See the highlights!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><span style="text-decoration: underline">09/25- Churchville-Chili Saints vs. Gates Chili Spartans:</span></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Churchville-Chili Saints took on their rivals in the Gates Chili Spartans Friday night. It was a game with thrilling plays and physical rushing attacks. The Saints improved to 4-0 on the season while Gates-Chili dropped to 2-2. In the second quarter Jager really started to heat up, where he came off with a huge run. He continued to wear down Gates-Chili's defense before punching in a 6-yard TD run. By all means, he has incredible short-area quickness and contact balance that arose in his rushes. Hines returned a pick-six for Churchville-Chilli off a high throw which deflected off the intended target's hands. Staying controlled and aggressive on the receiver caused the disruption for an early 7-0 lead. Furthermore, he was able to haul in a second INT to help close out the game for the Saints. McKeiver made all the right throws and decisions to set his offense up in good scoring opportunities. He totaled 113 passing yards and rushed 8 times for 35 yards. Equally important, McKeiver had an impressive deep throw to WR [player_tooltip player_id='2160147' first='Zyon' last='Beachum'] over the shoulder for a 65-yard TD. They targeted Ty Emanuele a heavy amount, as he was the playmaker. Emanuele received 6 receptions for 85 yards. The Brighton Bruins leaned on their star player as he had 12 rushes for 105 yards and 2 TDs. It proved again that Medina is a top RB in Section V. Being around the football and physicality was a part of his game.
