We took a deep dive into our 2027 Nebraska rankings and took a look at some enforcing defensive linemen that to me are undervalued by our rankings and undervalued as far as their next-level recruitment as well. Some have a couple offers already, but others that caught my attention do not, and we found a 6'5 235 pound defensive end on the Nebraska Panhandle, that is very under the radar and needs to be evaluated ASAP to play at the next level.

A 2027 defensive end that surprises me that I cannot find any reported offers for is Omaha Roncalli's [player_tooltip player_id='1699812' first='Ben' last='Mausbach']. The 6'3 240 pounder has great length with a 6'8 wingspan to work with and its clear from my first look of tape from Week 5 he knows how to use it. He draws powerful hands from a strength perspective and shows off an elusive get off on blocks to get to the quarterback. I can also tell quickly, that this young man has a grinder-type motor in the defensive trenches. I can grasp the development Ben has made from his junior to senior season, as he defines the term in my report as an enforcing defensive end that is under the radar.

Another long winded defensive end that is another I can't even find a Twitter for, but surely has the skillsets to play on Saturdays is Alliance's [player_tooltip player_id='2144986' first='Luke' last='Weber']. The 6'5 235 pounder, is a pile driver in the backfield when he makes contact. He also intrigues me with his long strides he has at his disposal as one that can create havoc not only in the pocket but can get to the edges. He's quick and efficent when he needs to shed off blocks and I don't have a wingspan number for Luke, but it surely looks longer than his 6'5 size will tell you. Luke is a sure-fire sleeper way under the radar on the Nebraska Panhandle you need to know now and I feel was way undervalued from a ranking perspective.

Samuel is only 2027 defensive line thus far that has an offer on in our enforcers report and is another one that I feel is another undervalued defensive end out of this 2027 Nebraska class. He holds one offer from NAIA McPherson (Kansas) as the Bulldogs might have found a hidden gem when watch Samuel's midseason tape. Samuel intrigues me with his effectiveness as a run stopper, but shows the ability to get out in space along the edges and get off blocks to assist the screen game almost like a linebacker. From an upside perspective, I feel Samuel can generate a more agile get off with his hands, but is surely effective with his timing in slowing down the run game. Surely one that is well-worth a senior eval for other NAIA schools in the state of Nebraska.

Barrett is a new name to our radar that I found out of Seward, as one that is slightly undersized for the defensive tackle position but the tape will tell you this kid can play on Saturdays. He has the swift first step and agile movement to penetrate off blocks and into the backfield from that spot and there is plenty of consistency with that throughout his tape. He has sound short-area vision that is effective as a run-stopper along with a productive spin move that shows off fluidity. No reported offers thus far but surely has the skills to play at the next level.

Kyler has shown some productive reps from his few games that are out from thus far this season, as one that has already a couple of offers from the NAIA level out of Plattsmouth. The first skillset that popped out for Kyler is how enticing his hands are when he gets off blocks, as he's quick to get off blocks and in my eyes is undervalued from a rankings perspective in this 2027 class. The 6'2 230 pounder translates as a EDGE rusher at the next-level and is one that has instinctive vision that also is very productive in the run game. His offensive line tape shows off position flexibility, as Kyler is a mauler with his hands as a left tackle that surely any college program could add frame to, as I feel he pretty balanced in what he can play at the next level.
