This comes two weeks after opening the season against Texas powerhouse Southlake Carroll in the Cotton Bowl. At this point, the Trojans are used to being on the big stage and under the bright lights on Friday nights.

This is a match-up that has been a district clash since Bixby moved up to Class 6A-1 in 2022. But this year is the first time they'll meet in non-district play since the Spartans joined the Trojans in Class 6A-1. This was a series that was historically dominated by Jenks. But in the last decade, the script has flipped and it's been Bixby that has dominated the series. It's also an intriguing dynamic because Bixby has become the new unquestioned kings of high school football in Oklahoma. For a long time, that crown was worn by the Trojans. They'll look to take a a major step to taking the crown back on Friday night.

Jenks looks to continue momentum after going on the road and beating up on Rogers in Arkansas last week. They'll have next week off but then they open up the district slate on the road against Union before having their first home game of the season in week five against Owasso.

Below, we take a look at five offensive players that have gotten off to good starts for the Trojans and more specifically, five guys that will have significant impacts on the game on Friday night if the Trojans knock off the Spartans.

[player_tooltip player_id='1838737' first='Brennen' last='Watkins'] - 2027 Offensive Lineman

Senior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1838737' first='Brennen' last='Watkins'] was a new addition to the Jenks roster this offseason after moving in from Kiefer. It was going to be interesting to see how Watkins fit in and made the transition from playing 2A-1 ball to 6A-1 ball on a week in and week out basis. It's still early in the season, but Watkins has passed the eye test so far this fall. He's fit right in on a Jenks offensive line that is absolutely massive. And they will definitely be put to the test this week as they go against a Bixby front seven that is one of the biggest strengths that Bixby has going week in and week out. Watkins is a 2027 prospect to keep an eye on as this season plays out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] - 2028 Running Back

Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] has emerged as a dynamic playmaker for the Trojans through the first two games and that shouldn't surprise anyone that has seen Wright play for Lincoln Christian or go to work in the offseason. Wright had a memorable debut for the Trojans in the Cotton Bowl back in week zero and he will be incredibly important to what they do on Friday night against the Spartans. Wright is known for being a lightning quick playmaker that can turn a small play into a big play in the blink of an eye. But that's not the only thing about his game we like. His physicality is incredibly underrated. His recruitment is also picking up after he was offered by Tulsa this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='692003' first='Jaylon' last='Cato'] - 2027 Wide Receiver

Senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='692003' first='Jaylon' last='Cato'] is a 2027 prospect that we've liked for a long time after watching him in person at countless 7v7 tournaments. Cato is coming off a strong outing against Rogers last week and we're looking forward to seeing what he does against Bixby on Friday night. If you go back and look at his performance against the Spartans last year, he found a way to get open in the middle of their defense and that was a Bixby secondary that had multiple D1 guys. If Cato has that similar performance on Friday night, it would give him a ton of momentum moving forward as he would have back to back games where he produced at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1030447' first='Kailib' last='Dillard'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back

Senior and Florida commit [player_tooltip player_id='1030447' first='Kailib' last='Dillard'] is going to be a player to watch every time he steps on the field this season. And just like with Cato, Dillard is coming off a very strong performance in their win over Rogers last week. And just like Cato, Dillard was also a standout in the game against Bixby last season. In fact, he had a couple touchdown catches against the Spartans and found success against their secondary. Dillard has the potential of being that big play guy for this Jenks offense but he will also play a very important role on defense. Bixby's quarterbacks have been incredibly efficient throwing the ball and Dillard and company look to change that.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834436' first='Kyron' last='Scott'] - 2028 Running Back

Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1834436' first='Kyron' last='Scott'] joins Wright as being a player to watch in this Jenks offense. The "thunder and lightning" tag has already been established for this duo as Wright has the "lightning" role down and Scott has showcased that "thundering" ability with the ball in his hands. Like Wright, Scott had a strong performance in their season opener against Southlake Carroll. It's interesting how this Jenks duo is a major strength to the Jenks offense considering who they lost at the running back position from last year. Scott is quickly turning into a 2028 prospect that you need to know about moving forward and Friday is another chance to perform at a high level against a tough opponent.
