Mississippi’s Top Four Passing Arms This Season

Wedgeworth has completed 75 of 118 attempts (63.6%) for nine touchdowns against five interceptions. His pace is the best in the state by a wide margin, and if he keeps this up over a full season, he's in line for one of the biggest passing years Mississippi has seen in a while. He is leading by a long shot. He and Brett Favre are from the same community. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Austin Banks III</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br>Right behind him is Austin Banks III of Madison-Ridgeland Academy, who has racked up 1,098 yards on 79-of-122 passing (64.8%) through four games. Banks has been efficient and productive, throwing 11 touchdowns to just one interception — the best TD-to-INT ratio of anyone in the top four, and a big reason MRA's offense has been humming early. Banks is surrounded by a very good team. Chandler's completion percentage (50.0%) is lower than the others, but he's made his completions count, tossing nine touchdowns against three picks while averaging 248.2 yards per game. Teasley has completed an outstanding 69 of 89 attempts (77.5%) for 926 yards and nine touchdowns — and he's the only quarterback in the top four who hasn't thrown a single interception.
