Midseason Check-In: Linebackers

Let's continue our look as we head into the 2nd half of the season. Who have caught the eye? Let's dive in. Lincoln is an athletic backer who shows good anticipation and he diagnoses plays quickly. He's a physical backer wbo does well attacking and he displays good coverage skills. He has a natural feel in space and when back peddling. He is good in coverage and switches off well in zone spacing. He has spent time on the offensive side of the ball where he utilizes his quickness and athleticism. He is an exciting athlete in the class and should see offers come his way. Siosateki shows good quickness ans overall athleticism to his game. He moves well laterally and has a good acceleration to his game. He sheds his blocks well and does a good job pursuing the ball carrier. He is an instinctual backer who should see some offers come his way. He does well as an attacking, on ball backer and has the size to hold up. He would be an interesting prospect to be a situational pass rusher. Owen is a hybrid backer who could be used as a box safety. He's an active defender with good instincts and utilizes his quickness to get to the ball carrier. He's a versatile backer who is good in space and in coverage. He has glld quickness and has good hips to move laterally and doesn't need to slow down. Corbin is an all around athlete and a playmaker. He's an excellent athlete who has good overall speed and shows good quickness and moves well in and out of his breaks. He has been used on both sides of the ball and he should be an every down player on both sides of the ball. He flashes good instincts as a backer and once he fills out his frame, should slot in as either an on ball backer or even a hybrid box safety and situational pass rusher. With his athleticism and skills with the ball in his hands, his natural position might end up being as a running back. He's too good with the ball in his hands to just be used on defense. His traits alone should get him recruited at the D1 level. Those were some prospects to know.
