Week two is about to kick off and it's a loaded slate this week. For a lot of teams, they are already two games into their season and we've already seen several players emerge as names to know this fall. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at five different players that have stood out on offense and defense.

Earlier today, we also took a look at five standout quarterbacks. All five of these standouts have the same thing in common, stats. These guys have filled up the stat sheet and show no signs of slowing down. Let's dive into the numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1659242' first='Darrius' last='Johnson'] - 2027 Running Back - Tuttle

Tuttle coverage this summer was based around one big question; how the Tigers would replace the production at the running back position? It looks like they found the answer with newcomer running back [player_tooltip player_id='1659242' first='Darrius' last='Johnson'] this fall. The senior joined the Tigers this offseason and has been a prototypical workhorse back through the first two game against tough 5A opponents in Guthrie and Newcastle. Last week's performance against Newcastle was pretty special. He carried the ball 32 times and finished with 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns. And it's no secret that it has been insanely hot all across Oklahoma. To have that kind of workhorse performance in those weather conditions can open up some eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1599208' first='Dejhaun' last='Hall'] - 2028 Wide Receiver - Broken Bow

Watched Hall in person put up strong numbers in week 0 during a blowout win over McAlester. Went for eight catches that tallied 186 yards. Last week, in their shutout win over Durant, Hall went over the 100-yard mark again, finishing with six catches for 105 yards and his first touchdown of the season. The Broken Bow offense gets a lot of headlines because of the quarterback play but there have been some outstanding performances from the receivers as well. Hall has been a guy that has produced since his freshman year and has started his junior season with a bang.

[player_tooltip player_id='1839045' first='Grant' last='First'] - 2028 Running Back - El Reno

While we don't have every school's stats across the state but we don't think there can be a handful (if any) of players that have more rushing yards than El Reno's [player_tooltip player_id='1839045' first='Grant' last='First']. Through the first two games of the year. The junior running back has 58 carries for 617 yards and six touchdowns in just two games. In their win over Putnam City West last week, First finished with 33 carries for 368 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for just shy of 250 yards in their season opener. It doesn't look like First was on the PRZ-Oklahoma radar prior to this season and it's only taken two games for that to change. It will be fun to follow how long First can keep producing at the rate he's had in the first two weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1833671' first='Mark' last='Bolds'] - 2028 Defensive Lineman - Del City

Del City opened their 2026 season with a dominant week one win over Southeast. They had several players stand out on the offensive side of the ball as they lit up the scoreboard. But a performance that might have been overlooked was a shutdown performance from the defense. Junior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1833671' first='Mark' last='Bolds'] had a terrific start to his 2026 season. He finished the night with 11 tackles on the night but the headline was his ability to terrorize the quarterback. The junior standout defensive lineman finished the night with five sacks. PRZ-Oklahoma had Bolds as a player to keep an eye on moving forward but I don't think anyone anticipated that kind of performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1838000' first='Ridge' last='Blackbear'] - 2028 Running Back/Linebacker - Tahlequah Sequoyah

It's only week one but it's second straight week [player_tooltip player_id='1838000' first='Ridge' last='Blackbear'] has made headlines. After going for 106 yards and four touchdowns in the opener, he scored four touchdowns again. While upping the yardage total to 224 yards on 22 carries in the win over Prairie Grove (AR). He was also productive as a receiver, finishing with over 250 yards of total offense. He's on pace for 40 rushing touchdowns by the end of the regular season. That might fluctuate between now and then. But one thing is for sure, he has Tahlequah Sequoyah looking like a serious contender in 2A-1.

For a lot of teams, they are already two games into their season and we've already seen several players emerge as names to know this fall.
