2029 Rankings: Breaking Down New Additions (9-12)

Over the coming weeks, we will be breaking down tape of each of the players ranked so far.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Keep in mind these rankings are very fluid, especially to kick off this season. Debuting as our No. 2 receiver and the No. 9 prospect overall, Carpenter flashes being very good after the catch with ability to make defenders miss, be a crafty route runner on the perimeter and displays strong hands over the middle of the field. He has size that cannot be coached at 6-foot-7, 295 pounds. Schott flashes a good first step off the line-of-scrimmage, he is a very good puller who can find contact and seal off the corner, and displays great second-level run-blocking skills. He displays good first-step quickness, he is a mauler in the run game and drives his feet on contact. Indianapolis Cathedral is facing a tough schedule with five out-of-state opponents this season, and they'll need everything they can out of Lynch to be successful. Could the Class of 2029 be yet another ‘Year of the QB?' Penn Class of 2029 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1131190' first='Banks' last='Asleson'] is throwing his hat into the ring. Possessing 6-foot-4, 200-pound size and training with Ohio-based guru Brad Maendler, Asleson has a quick release, strong arm, and great touch on the deep ball. He is more of a pocket passer rather than a dual threat, but he can really sling it downfield, throw with good velocity and accuracy, and fit the ball into tight windows.
