Week 2 Watch: Wide Receivers

With Week 2 upon us, let's take a look at some key wide receivers who will need to come up big this week. These are receivers with big chances to take the next steps. Who are they? Let's dive in!    Ryder has good size and does a good job of getting open and showcasing his numbers to his signal caller. He creates good separation and is strong at the catch point. He's an athletic mover and a receiver who can create on his own. He'll need to come up big for his team in Week 2.     Eli is a receiver who has good length and does a good job of being strong at the catch point. He tracks the ball well, does a good job of getting vertical and is a receiver who formed an instant connection with his signal caller. He'll look to build off his promising season debut.     Nixon had an exceptional season opener, and the all purpose athlete for Spanish Fork will need to have another solid game. He showed good footwork, athleticism and having strong hands. He'll face a tougher secondary and if Spanish Fork is to be effective, Nixon will need to have another big time game.     Royce had a great debut and as a freshman and starting varsity is a big deal. He is a receiver with a good release package, has clean footwork and does a good job of creating separation. He got open easily in his debut last week and is a receiver who is good after the catch and can create on his own, he's a big time prospect.    Those were some receivers to know for Week 2. These are players who will need to come up big and these are prospects to keep an eye on in the present and for the future.
