UPDATED: Washington 2028 Rankings (Top 200) 26-50

Per usual rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level. You can be an outstanding HS athlete and not project to a high level of collegiate ball. Have a look at the Washington Top 200 as we break down #26-50 with updated offers and commitments.         *PLEASE NOTE: 40+ athletes were added to the 2028 rankings board so multiple individuals will drop numerous spots for that reason alone.          *Rankings were compiled in collaboration with Andrew Nemec         COMPLETE LIST (Top 200) <a href="https://prepredzone.com/washington/rankings/2028-watch-list/">https://prepredzone.com/washington/rankings/2028-watch-list/</a>         #26-50         26.[player_tooltip player_id='991884' first='Scottie' last='Dinwiddie Jr.'] 6-1 185 WR Decatur    UPDATED: From a recruiting standpoint it's been relatively quiet, but the numbers from the last two seasons speak for themselves. This will be a definitive year for Dinwiddie one way or the other.    The 1st team all NPSL WR had another big year, catching 44 passes with 1,234 all-purpose yards (901 receiving) and 10 touchdowns. He's an unquestioned D1 athlete that we should hear a lot about this offseason.    Maybe the fastest rising prospect in Washington. Dinwiddie makes a big jump up the rankings board after catching 17 passes for 505 yards and 8 TDs (30.2 ypc), while also accounting for 3 INTs on D.    27.[player_tooltip player_id='995881' first='JT' last='Williams'] 6-0 165 RB Lincoln   UPDATED: Look for Williams to be a conference POY candidate and statistically one of the top RBs in WA this coming season. He MVP'd the Portland St camp and had a great offseason on the camp circuit.   Wiliams has great film and could crack the top 20 with continued progression. As a sophomore, he went for 448 total yards and 5 TD's. He is a potential all-state guy next season.    Williams played some varsity ball as a freshman, averaging 12 yards per carry in limited action. The future is bright as he is an outstanding hooper with D1 potential in both sports.   28.Cale LaFountaine 6-5 320 T/DL Orting   UPDATED: Once again Lafountaine has elite D1 size. He was key up front for an (11-1) Orting program, and like many other small school athletes will need to get out on the camp circuit and compete against the region's best.    There is still a lot yet to be determined when it comes to Lafountaine but the potential is there for him to be a big time D1 recruit. He earned O line MVP honors at Idaho's camp and is expected to have a dominant sophomore year.    29.[player_tooltip player_id='984903' first='Calvin' last='Middendorf'] 6-3 295 G Lake Stevens    UPDATED: One of the top interior guys in the region. Middendorf was named OL MVP at Western Oregon's team camp and will be key if Lake Stevens is going to make another run to the title game.   Middendorf is relatively quick and plays violent. He was key up front for a Lake Stevens team that reached the 4A title game. I could see him jumping up this list quickly.    The power lifter will be one of the best O lineman in the state in the years ahead. He will definitely project on the interior with size being the only question.    30.[player_tooltip player_id='1339204' first='Brayden' last='Seiber'] 6-2 185 Safety/WR Kennedy Catholic   UPDATED: Seiber has earned all types of accolades on the baseball field this summer and will have some nice options collegiately. He is more than capable of playing both at a high level.    Seiber started on both sides of the football as a sophomore, earning all-NPSL honors offensively. His overall athleticism and size make him a viable recruit at the next level.    31.[player_tooltip player_id='1615830' first='Cooper' last='Cissne'] 5-9 185 CB/ATH Chiawana   UPDATED: Cissne will likely be a 3x 1st team all state athlete which is basically unheard of and the conference POY the next two seasons. His speed and ability to break on balls is different. If someone gave him a shot he could play at the FCS D1 level , even with his size.    The only player in the state of Washington to earn 1st team all-state honors as a sophomore. Pound for pound he is one of the best players in the region. From a recruitment standpoint it all comes down to size.   It's extremely rare for any freshman to earn 1st team all-conference honors at the 4A level, but Cissne did just that. Chiawana lost in triple overtime to state champ Sumner in the semifinals.    32.[player_tooltip player_id='1338121' first='Townsyn' last='Walsh'] 6-0 185 DB North Kitsap   UPDATED: Some of the best defensive film in Washington. Walsh backed up the hype after an outstanding all-conference year as a freshman, making 77 tackles with 8 TFL's and 7 PBU's during his 2025 campaign.    It's rare for any freshman to earn all-conference honors and Walsh did just that. The 2nd team all-league Safety could be in POY conversation in the Olympic as early as this year.    33.[player_tooltip player_id='1338208' first='Marley' last='Malotumau'] 6-0 290 C/G/DL Puyallup    UPDATED: From a pure talent standpoint, he's one of the best in Washington. He could end up on the defensive side of the ball at the next level, with impressive performances at multiple universities all over the state of Texas the last few months.    Malotumau might be the exception to the rule from a projection standpoint as a 6-0 center. His dominance as a sophomore was eye opening. He earned 1st team all SPSL honors for a Vikings squad that had their way with almost everyone.    34.[player_tooltip player_id='1655958' first='Joseph' last='Mbock-Nlend'] 6-2 280 DT/G Eastside Catholic   UPDATED: Once again the big man did well as part of FSP. His teammates being ranked two of the top players in America, could help him and others on the recruiting front, with all of the universities watching Eastside every week.    Mbock-Nlend made things happen as a sophomore but still went somewhat under the radar from an all-league standpoint. He finished the year with 21 tackles, 26 pressures, and 3.5 sacks. I would expect him to excel on the camp circuit and as part of FSP.     The big man played varsity ball and did well as a freshman for one of the top programs on the west coast. His ability to maneuver on the interior and overall physical presence speaks to his upside.    35.[player_tooltip player_id='1807588' first='Kyran' last='Sessoms'] 6-2 195 OLB Lakes   UPDATED: Sessoms did well at some national camps this offseason and continues to work on adding size to a legit frame. From a recruiting standpoint a lot will depend on the film he puts together this coming season.    One of Washington's breakout sophomores. Sessoms continues to turn heads on the camp circuit after a 2nd team all-league season at OLB/DE for Lakes, where he made 29 tackles with 10 TFL's and 5 sacks. If he can add on to his frame, the sky's the limit.    36.Grant Petersen 6-2 185 WR University   UPDATED: The standout WR did a great job getting out on the camp circuit this offseason, visiting (6) Big Sky schools and Washington St. He can expect double teams all year from opponents which will be much different than last season.    Peterson put together a special sophomore year making a significant jump up the rankings board. He brings legit size and versatility to the table, finishing as a 2nd team all GSL WR, while tying a school record with 55 receptions for 649 yards and 5 touchdowns.    37.[player_tooltip player_id='2213883' first='Luke' last='O'Hara'] 6-4 260 DE Bellarmine Prep   UPDATED: O'Hara brings legit size and speed to the table and was one of Washington's breakout performers this offseason. He was recognized at the Northwest Showcase, the largest event on the west coast, as one of the top D lineman in attendance.    38.[player_tooltip player_id='2042097' first='Chex' last='DeFillipi'] 6-4 240 DL Skyline   UPDATED: DeFillipi was a 2nd team all Kingco selection this past season and at 6-4 could play a high level of collegiate ball with continued progression. Look for him to be one of the stat leaders within the conference.    39.[player_tooltip player_id='584953' first='Kanai' last='Kennedy'] 5-9 165 ATH Mount Tahoma   UPDATED: It's all about the speed. Kennedy made 10 tackles last year for a Mount Tahoma team that reached the state title game. He has the potential of putting up some crazy numbers this season.    The 100 Meter WA state champion can fly. The fact he did it as a freshman is even crazier. He should be a key player for a Mount Tahoma team that reached the 3A title game this past season.    40.[player_tooltip player_id='999744' first='Wonderful' last='Glenn'] 6-1 180 WLB Timberline   UPDATED: Glenn has 140+ tackles, 17 TFL's, and 5 sacks the last two seasons. Phenomenal numbers for a kid that will look to backup the stats with great film this coming season.    The standout sophomore was a big reason Timberline improved so much as a team this past year, going from (1-9) to (5-5). He once again had 70+ tackles, with 11 TFL's and 3 sacks.    41.[player_tooltip player_id='1139323' first='Oliver' last='Setterberg'] 6-3 205 QB Glacier Peak   UPDATED: One of the fastest rising prospects in the NW. Setterberg put together some impressive film, helping GP to their first 4A quarterfinal appearance in school history. He hit on 68% of passes for the year for 1,962 yards and 29 Tds.    42.[player_tooltip player_id='987105' first='Zion' last='Ulugalu'] 6-1 280 DL Rainier Beach   UPDATED: Ulugalu made the move from Lincoln to Rainier Beach and killed it as a sophomore, racking up 2nd team all-Metro honors on both sides of the football. His size is a question mark if we are talking projection, but he was hands down one of the top 2028 lineman in Washington.    Ulugalu is a beast on the interior and moves incredibly well for an athlete with his size. I would expect him to get in the mix and be one of the best lineman in the conference as a sophomore.    43.[player_tooltip player_id='985350' first='Uzyah' last='Thomas'] 6-4 270 DL Lincoln   UPDATED: Thomas is a versatile athlete up front with good size. There is still a lot yet to be determined but he has been one of the top young lineman in the conference the last two years.    The big man had a solid freshman season with Lincoln featuring a host of young talent on the offensive and defensive front. Thomas made 13 tackles on the year and possesses impressive versatility.    44.[player_tooltip player_id='984858' first='Antoine' last='Williams Jr']. 6-5 210 QB Decatur   UPDATED: Williams did well over the offseason against national competition while competing for FSP at QB. From a recruitment standpoint this will come down to what type of film he can put together this fall.    The big QB had an outstanding sophomore season earning 1st team all NPSL accolades. His size and arm put him in the conversation among the top QB's in the NW for 2028.    45.[player_tooltip player_id='984861' first='Brennan' last='Abbott'] 6-1 165 QB Sumner   UPDATED: The young gun will get his turn next season for the 2x state champs. No pressure. Nate Donavan isn't a big-time recruit, but he did an outstanding job leading the offense. I would expect Abbott to have learned a lot by watching him.    Abbott has a stock which continues to rise. He has done well over the off season and on the 7v7 circuit for HEIR and Reggie Jones. He will be next in line behind Nate Donavan who led Sumner to the 4A title last year.    46.[player_tooltip player_id='1530880' first='John' last='Rainey'] 6-0 200 WLB/S Moses Lake   UPDATED: The 2x 1st team all-conference LB once again put up some ridiculous numbers for Moses Lake during their impressive season. His 164 tackles and 9.5 TFL's have him ranked #6 nationally for the class of 2028, among all defenders in tackles (MaxPreps).    Rainey probably deserves to be higher on this list after making 100 tackles and earning 1st team all-conference honors last season as a freshman. He will hopefully get out on the camp circuit next year.    47.[player_tooltip player_id='1339295' first='Chance' last='Hatchett'] 6-1 225 LB Ferndale   UPDATED: Expectations will be high this coming season considering what the family has accomplished. I would expect a monster 2026 campaign.    Once again, the last name speaks for itself. Hatchett contributed on both sides of the ball, scoring multiple TD's while projecting on D. The kid can play.   48.[player_tooltip player_id='986701' first='J'Shaun' last='Wilson'] 5-7 175 ATH/RB O'Dea    UPDATED: The reigning 2x state champs graduated a host of talent from last year with Wilson being expected to carry a heavy load this coming season. If he can do that, it will speak volumes.    He's undersized but don't be fooled. Wilson bounces off tacklers and will break your ankles in space. The scat back was instrumental in helping his team to the state title, averaging 8.97 yards per carry while rushing for 1100+ yards and 17 TD's. He was a 1st team all-Metro selection and the state championship MVP.    49.[player_tooltip player_id='1339177' first='Waylon' last='Abercrombie'] 6-1 195 WR Tahoma   UPDATED: Abercrombie makes a nice jump up the rankings board after a sophomore season that saw him catch 31 balls for 592 yards and 8 TD's, averaging 18.8 yards per catch. His offseason was just as impressive as part of FSP.    50.[player_tooltip player_id='2118707' first='Calvin' last='Killian'] 6-1 165 WR Lewis & Clark   UPDATED: One of the top players in the GSL as a sophomore. Killian was an honorable mention all conference selection, finishing with 34 catches for 587 yards (2nd in the league) and 7 TD's. He will need to add some size to his frame, but that will come with time.    50.[player_tooltip player_id='986727' first='Treylon' last='McGraw'] 5-9 160 ATH Heritage   UPDATED: McGraw is undersized but one of the best players in the state, being a 1st team all GSHL selection at WR and 2nd team DB. He was a human highlight reel for most of the season, catching 38 balls for 658 yards and 10 touchdowns. The school's (6-3) record was their best since 2007.
