UPDATED: Oregon 2029 Rankings (Top 100) 26-50

With the athletes still being so young, it's tough to add a numerical ranking at this point. The individuals ranking is very general in nature and will likely adjust a great deal in the coming months & years.   Here we will breakdown the top freshman in the state of Oregon with groups representing #1-25 and #26-50. This list was put together in collaboration with Andrew Nemec. The depth at Tualatin is ridiculous, so it's going to be tough for any sophomore to get legit minutes, but I see Potter being a 2x 1st team all TRL athlete before all is said and done.    I really like Potter to be one of the best in the TRL before he's done. He's added size and could get in the mix as early as next year for a loaded T Wolves program.    27.[player_tooltip player_id='2131662' first='Ashton' last='Wells'] 6-8 265 T North Medford   UPDATED: The kids 6-8 but unproven so this is still a wait and see. If he plays and does well as a sophomore, then there is no telling where he could end up on this list.    This is one where there isn't necessarily a lot to say when you look at Wells' dimensions. That being said, it's all a projection thing right now with still a lot to prove.    28. [player_tooltip player_id='2105985' first='James' last='Curbow'] 6-0 245 DL/OL Glencoe   UPDATED: It wouldn't shock me to see Curbow be the Pacific Conference Defensive POY as a sophomore. He has elite strength and could write his own ticket if he continues to produce.    It's rare for any freshman athlete to earn all-league honors with Curbow racking up all-conference accolades on both sides of the football. He will likely project more on D due to size.    29.[player_tooltip player_id='2131782' first='Cooper' last='Chan'] 6-0 230 Edge/OLB Jesuit   UPDATED: Chan could be a 3x 1st team all Metro DE. He's that talented. That being said, it's up in the air where he projects positionally due to size.    Watch the film as Chan is a constant disrupter coming off the edge. I could see him being influential as a sophomore in the Metro League.   30.[player_tooltip player_id='2131482' first='Owen' last='Healy'] 5-11 205 RB/LB Jesuit   UPDATED: Look for Healy to get in the mix as a sophomore and be one of the top two-way athletes statewide before he's done.    Healy was dominant for the Crusaders as a freshman on both sides of the football. From a projection standpoint, a lot will depend on continued growth.    31.[player_tooltip player_id='1705967' first='Dayn' last='Ree'] 6-2 250 DL/OL West Linn   UPDATED: From a projection standpoint, it will all come down to size and how much Ree grows. He is one of most talented lineman in the state but it's still a wait and see. Expect him to be a multiyear all TRL selection.    32.[player_tooltip player_id='1705965' first='Dylan' last='Baltz'] 5-11 160 CB/ATH West Linn   UPDATED: Baltz has put on some good size and has consistently been one of the top DB's in the state for his class. The Lions depth chart makes it tough for any youngster to get on the field, but he has that type of ability.    Dylan has the potential of being an FCS type athlete with continued growth. His brother Drew Baltz was a super talented kid with size at 6-4.   33.[player_tooltip player_id='1558030' first='AJ' last='Walker'] 5-8 140 Slot Westview   UPDATED: Walker had an outstanding offseason on the camp and 7v7 circuit. His route running ability is so unique that it makes up for him be undersized. He could be a major player in the Metro League this year.    He's small but super talented and will break your ankles in space. Walker is another athlete who has excelled on the 7v7 circuit. Look for him to continue and make noise this offseason.    34.[player_tooltip player_id='2120098' first='Trey' last='Lawrence'] 5-9 175 RB Bend   UPDATED: The talented young RB was an honorable mention all IMC selection as a freshman. He will be a featured athlete for the Lava Bears the next three years.    35.[player_tooltip player_id='2131667' first='Rocco' last='Folino'] 5-10 180 ATH Thurston   UPDATED: MVP has another good one in Folino. He could play early for the Colts and thrive with 1st team all-league 5A QB [player_tooltip player_id='1257695' first='Emmit' last='Distefano'] returning.    36.[player_tooltip player_id='2104547' first='Kingston' last='Robinson'] 6-4 205 TE Westview    UPDATED: Being so young there is still a lot yet to be determined here but watching some of his film you see the big man moving incredibly well after the catch. We will see if this translates during the season.    37.[player_tooltip player_id='2131618' first='Dylan' last='Jones'] 5-10 170 RB Mountain View   UPDATED: The Cougars continue to be one of the best 5A programs in the state every year, producing elite RBs. Jones is another one rushing for 25 TDs at the freshman level last season.    38.[player_tooltip player_id='2079675' first='Sam' last='Nute'] 6-1 260 DL/OL Lake Oswego   UPDATED: Once again, it's just a size thing if we are talking projection. From a pure talent standpoint, few are better on the line.    Nute has been a standout on the O line but projects more on D due to his current stature. If he continues to grow, he will be one of the top ranked lineman in Oregon for his class.    39.[player_tooltip player_id='2131687' first='Zach' last='Ballweber'] 6-1 170 QB Mountain View   UPDATED: Mountain View continues to produce top athletes with Coach Brian Crum speaking highly of Ballweber. You will hear a lot about him in the seasons ahead.    40.[player_tooltip player_id='2129860' first='Laiden' last='Johnson'] 6-0 170 DB Eagle Point    UPDATED: Johnson earned 2nd team all-conference honors as a freshman, making 46 tackles with 2 TFL's. He was also a contributor on offense. There are very few 9th graders doing what he did at the varsity level.    41.[player_tooltip player_id='2230210' first='Brody' last='Fullerton'] 6-1 210 TE/Edge Henley   UPDATED: Not a lot of people know about him playing 4A ball down South, but Fullerton earned all conference honors as a freshman on the O line, while likely projecting on D or at TE.    42.[player_tooltip player_id='2131689' first='Kobe' last='Nettles'] 5-11 210 OLB/DE Thurston   UPDATED: From a recruitment standpoint I'm not sure where Nettles will project because of size, but he will be one of the state's best on D. He is an absolute disrupter coming off the edge and could play a key role for the Colts as a sophomore.    43.[player_tooltip player_id='2131640' first='Hunter' last='Searls'] 6-0 185 LB Tualatin   UPDATED: Searls was an all-league lacrosse athlete as a freshman, and that looks like a first priority. That said as he will be one of the best in the TRL and could play at the next level if he pursues football.    44.[player_tooltip player_id='2213895' first='Alexander' last='Goeckner'] 6-3 190 TE/WR Jesuit   UPDATED: You have to like the frame and how he performed over the offseason. He could end up 6-4 220 and a very versatile two-way threat for the Crusaders.    45.[player_tooltip player_id='2079677' first='Jett' last='Wong'] 5-6 155 CB/WR Sheldon   UPDATED: The Irish are looking to make a statement after a 2-7 season and Wong will be a key factor if that is going to happen.    Really like this kid. He's undersized but super talented and will be one of the best in the conference on both sides of the ball. He got in the mix as a freshman at DB making a handful of varsity tackles.    46.[player_tooltip player_id='2129862' first='Ryan' last='Williams'] 5-11 160 QB Crescent Valley   UPDATED: One of the most talented three sport athletes in the NW for his class. Williams was a standout on the baseball field, also starting as a freshman at QB and hitting on 59% of his passes for 1246 yards and 15 TD's/10 INTs.    47.[player_tooltip player_id='1705970' first='Quinn' last='Baker'] 5-9 150 QB West Linn   UPDATED: The undersized QB did his thing this past season, leading a dominant West Linn freshman group. He hit on approximately 70% of his passes with stature being the obvious question mark.    48.[player_tooltip player_id='2131778' first='Hudson' last='Brooks'] 5-9 160 CB Lakeridge   UPDATED: One of the best DB's in the state for his class. If he continues to grow he could be an asset at the next level. Regardless, Brooks is talented enough to start for 3 years in the TRL and make a difference as a youngster.    49.[player_tooltip player_id='2204665' first='Brandon' last='Pomerleau'] 6-4 220 OL/TE/DE Tualatin    UPDATED: Probably a lineman at the next level but playing TE. Has all the potential in the world as a big man up front. We will see how he progresses.    50.[player_tooltip player_id='2131683' first='Kadryn' last='Nettles'] 5-8 180 RB Willamette   UPDATED: Another kid who is undersized but an absolute beast on the field. As a freshman, he had 16 touches at the varsity level (13 rushes, 3 receptions) with a TD, while averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
