He's versatile throughout the secondary, playing off-ball corner or rotating to free safety. Doss is a reliable tackler in space, especially against screens and wide zone. He's a solid lead blocker who's willing to get physical in space. Smith will help lead the way against Benton this week in the Salt Bowl.  He can exploit running lanes with solid angles and physicality at the point of attack. Smith's motor and AA allow him to cover the entire field and chase down ball carriers. Overall, he displays good hand-eye coordination, body control, and strong hands at the catch point.
