shown to gator roll well; disciplined when coming off edge, does not run upfield; hustles, looks to lay blocks on kick off; rushes full man, but has presences of mind to get hands up to match QB hand; rallies in short game well, takes a humble drop;</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1609898' first='Sunil' last='Kumeh'] DL Notre Dame</td><td>Quick to change direction in the trenches; stacks offensive linemen when on their heels; must break down when tackling; quick get off allows him to get a bpush between double teams, not strong/big enough to split them but pushes a wedge; cross faces effectively; hand placement and gap control can improve, but active and uses that to his advantage</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1921828' first='Symeir' last='Sorey'] 5'8" 172 LB Newark Central</td><td>LB; takes drops, hips are inefficient and does not have vision of traffic when pursuing to the ball; a bit flat footed, does nto take read step or drop, stays at his level; attacks ball when tackling, forces it loose a lot; hustler, sells out to make plays way down field; disciplined in going only 2 yards in the backfield; running back, a bit nimble and light, gets airborn and floats side to side; very raw, undercoached; like what he brings to the table</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2064930' first='Tenesie' last='Taylor'] 6'1" 175 EDGE The Pennington School</td><td>A standup edge player; can get a push and rush in a 3 man line/dime; has a motor that keeps coming; do not see a change of speed when unblocked backside on roll out; splits doubles, by evading them with swim - to his credit he reads it very early and is effectively; finds ways to win, especially 1v1; not sure what I think fo him, do not think he is a edge guy in college though</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1969723' first='Thomas' last='Marabuto'] 5'7" 135 QB New Egypt</td><td>Leads receiver on vertical up sideline; resets feet when pocked moved to his left; looks like he has to gete a lot of body/shoulder on the ball, yet it does not splinter the air as you would like; most of his throws are veritcal on tape, nothing crossing/over middle</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1014507' first='Tim' last='O'Rourke'] 5'10" 195 RB Howell</td><td>Big running back, runs like a fullback does but at half back; can high step a bit to avoid chasing tacklers; runs behind pads, deermined runner who keeps gets moving; plays the game like you would expect a wrestler to do; consistently moves the pile; not a college RB, want to see him at linebacker</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2235395' first='Titan' last='Larkin'] 6'5" 275 OL St. Joseph</td><td>Big bodied left tackle; has good bend in stance, fires out low on down blocks, pops up when climbing to the second level; has upper body strength to give a shot and send LBs on their rear, too much space when drive blocking, not always into their chest; very good at down blocks; can stay in front of talented edge rushers when pass blocking; gets a lot of movement on doubles, do not see him pick up his head for LBs scraping</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1140580' first='Tommy' last='Pellicciari'] 5'9" 195 ATH Ramsey</td><td>Big bodied back; carries ball low; need to put a full body on him to tackle; played Interior lineman, fights reach well and maintains line of scrimmage; played on kickoff, squeezes and condences tackles low, at tackes; might be just out of position on kickoff as he doesn ot fit his tackles well</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2044451' first='Tommy' last='Walton'] 6'2" 200 LB Pope John XXIII</td><td>Breaks down as he closes on his opponent, slings when tackling, want to see shoulder tackles; uses hands to feel, and shed through the line of scrimmage; played all over the formation on defense; can bend fairly well; at times his backfield depth goes; runs to sideline from near hash defending quick game very well; lookd discilined in just doing his job and nothing more, maybe a good team defender; able to beat receiver to hook/curl drop, undercut pass for pick</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2044456' first='Ty' last='Newcomb'] 6'4" 185 QB Seton Hall Prep</td><td>Uses shoulder fake to open up defense; does not move in pocket, feet look stuck at times; raw arm strength is apparent; feet at times look like stuck in RPO footwork when throwing deep; can lead receivers a bi tmore, ball sort of tails off at the end, ends up behind; decisive thrower</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1671363' first='Tyrick' last='Miranda Jr'] 5'8" 145 DB Hillsborough</td><td>Gets hands on opponent to disrupt their route, jam them id route; hips turn ok; breaks down a bit to oearly when tackling; when palying bump and run looks. a bit out of control, but then gets back in position; when breaking on the ball do not stop, keep gong to get to his spot; moved to safety at some point during the season</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2044462' first='Tyson' last='Forman'] 5'11" 170 QB Williamstown</td><td>Steps into throws; seems to stare down his target; athletic enough to make jump throws with defenders in his face; hard time bending corners/cutting, has to wheel his arm; quick release, follows through; ball tends to go high on-target; ball goes about 45 yards through the air; runs option, makes correct read; solid athlete, player</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rankings Update: New Jersey Class of 2028 Coverage</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/2028-rankings-key-takeaways-hot-takes-from-todays-update">Key Takeaways + Hot Takes</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/woodward-ezeiruaku-lead-their-teams-defense-28-ranking-update">Woodward, Ezeiruaku Lead Their Team's Defense</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/a-z-prospects-scouts-take-on-each-prospect-in-njs-class-of-28">A-Z Prospects: Scout's Take on Each Prospect in NJ's Class of '28</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/schoen-shows-em-how-its-done-while-russel-wrestles-in-trenches">Schoen Shows 'Em How it's Done, While Russel Wrestles in Trenches</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/show-tell-film-that-i-watched-and-you-must-see-from-a-z-pt-1">Show + Tell: Film that I Watched and You Must See, From A-Z Pt 1</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/show-tell-film-that-i-watched-and-you-must-see-from-a-z-pt-2">Show + Tell: Film that I Watched and You Must See, From A-Z Pt 2</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/walker-walks-back-o-linemen-adams-is-a-secondary-ball-hawk">Walker Walks Back O-Linemen, Adams is a Secondary Ball Hawk</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/granzow-runs-like-a-gazelle-gilardi-guts-defenses">Granzow Runs like a Gazelle, Gilardi Guts Defenses</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/dipaola-rebman-and-reuter-dominates-inside-the-trenches/">Dipaola, Rebman, and Reuter Dominates Inside the Trenches</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/show-tell-film-that-i-watched-and-you-must-see-from-a-z-pt-3">Show + Tell: Film that I Watched and You Must See, From A-Z Pt 3</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/gioia-continues-family-legacy-ketusky-is-more-than-meets-the-eye">Gioia Continues Family Legacy, Ketusky is More than Meets the Eye</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/hood-is-explosive-off-the-snap-glover-poised-for-timeshare-bump">Hood is Explosive Off the Snap, Glover Poised for Timeshare Bump</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/brown-finds-green-in-redzone-byrdie-setsback-offenses-pace">Brown Finds Green in Redzone, Byrdie Setsback Offenses' Pace</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/acs-small-plays-big-tacklers-miss-woodstowns-middlemiss">AC's Small Plays Big, Tacklers Miss Woodstown's Middlemiss</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/show-tell-film-that-i-watched-and-you-must-see-from-a-z-pt-4">Show + Tell: Film that I Watched and You Must See, From A-Z Pt 4</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/show-tell-film-that-i-watched-and-you-must-see-from-a-z-pt-5">Show + Tell: Film that I Watched and You Must See, From A-Z Pt 5</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/richardson-eveland-are-top-5-talents-of-two-different-pedigrees">Richardson, Eveland are Top-5 Talents of Two Different Pedigrees</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/08/rosario-furr-pushing-their-ceilings-like-they-push-def-linemen">Rosario + Furr Pushing their Ceilings like they Push Def.
