6A WEST: Breakout Candidate from Each Program

<p>August is here, which means high school football is on the way in Arkansas. This report will cover the potential breakout candidates for each team in 2026.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fort Smith Southside:</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2262015' first='Jeffrey' last='Clunn'] is a smart football player who will see a rise in targets this fall. Clunn displays solid hands with the ability to quickly get upfield post-catch and create in space. He possesses the ideal size for the next level. Tipton is a run mauler, consistently setting the edge and comboing to the backside linebacker. He's a stout, hard-to-move 1-3 tech who will clog up running lanes and require double teams, often allowing other teammates to be free to make a play. He racked up 30+ tackles last fall and is expected to see more playing time in 2026. He displays solid hand-eye coordination with the ability to extend and high-point the football effectively. He competed for the QB1 spot and is likely to take the job heading into the fall. He displays solid initial quickness in his 45 and jump pass sets. His quick feet are a factor in all phases of the game.
