The Strivers best pass rusher has only gotten bigger this off-season and will be a pain to block in the National level schedule. What stands out to me the most about Bates is the way he finishes plays. He has closing speed and you rarely ever see a back beat him to the outside. Really loving what Coach Woods and Coach Jackson are building over their in Ashburn and adding one of the top defensive lineman in Virginia only adds to my admiration. My colleague Ed O'Brien broke down his play in his team preview article and I agree I think he will be an excellent defensive tackle at the next level. Janaske is 6'1 and 245 pounds with a 3.8 GPA, looks like a team player the way he contributes on offense and special teams too.
