He is a snappy and explosive edge rusher with elite twitch and bend around the corner and can convert speed to power quickly and win while setting the edge at the POA. He is quick off the ball, gets inside hand placement right away and is a high motor kid that is always around the ball and making plays backside. He plays with heavy hands off the ball to choke out and reset the LOS, understands leverage and getting underneath blockers and can dent the front quickly and set the edge with good technique and inside stab power. As a pass rusher he is slippery in his rush, knows when to counter back inside or win on the edge and has a variety of different moves in his toolbox to win with at the point of attack. He doubles as a offensive tackle as well and could find his home on either side of the ball in college. He has the frame to continue packing on weight as a plus length guy as well and should have a breakout junior season for Hoover and make some noise in the central valley. He is a heavy handed edge setter with a good strike, can eat up blocks on the outside and shuts down half of the field at all times. He wins with speed and power at the POA against tackles while able to dip underneath or club over the top when needed and shows he is always around the ball.
