2027s: Defensive Linemen Leaving a Mark

Let's take a look at some Defensive Linemen in the class who have been doing good work this season. Who are they? Let's dive in.

Sua was a player we highlighted last year as a player who would be impactful this season, and he's been just that. He's explosive off the line and plays with great physicality and strength. He shows good hand fighting and is a lineman who disengages from his blocks well. He is a lineman who will command double teams and he is a disruptor. Easily one of the best risers at the position and should see D1 offers. He's added good muscle to his frame and it's paying off big time.

Joelle is an athletic mover who uses speed to his advantage. He has good hip bend and gets off the line well. His hands are quick and he is an EDGE rusher who can use a bull rush if needed and can take on bigger lineman. He's a player who is far from a finished product and there's a high ceiling to his game. There's lots of traits to like.

Beckham can be used anywhere but looking at him as an EDGE rusher, there are traits to like with his game. He has a good frame, he is strong and an athletic mover. He has good hip bend and has violent hands. When he gets off the line quickly and can get a step on his linemen, he can then blend his power and speed to get his blocker off balanced and Beckham has good closing speed. He needs more reps, but from the ones that he is getting, he shows a lot of potential and promise. He's overall just an exciting athlete who can be a backer or used as a running back and as an H back.

Eli is a defensive tackle who does a good job of bringing pressure up the middle. He does a good job of advancing his position and is a solid run stuffing tackle. He has a good motor and is a lineman that has a good short area burst to his game.

Those are some defensive linemen to know for the 2027 class.
