These football teams are no doubt ready to play. There are Section VII teams that are on my radar this season and have players that are looking to make significant impacts. Take a look at the teams and players below that are looking to reclaim wins in their respective columns.

Peru Nighthawks

The Peru Nighthawks are a football team to watch for Section VII. Evidently, [player_tooltip player_id='1513256' first='Brody' last='Blaise-Smith'] is an RB that will provide lift as he has the ability to cut quickly and move with acceleration. Blaise-Smith will get plenty of opportunities this upcoming year and the Knighthawks will get him the ball. The other key player is the QB Jake Frechette who is entering into his senior season and will be trusted to lead the offense.

Plattsburgh Hornets

The Plattsburgh Hornets have a lot of electric talent on both sides of the football that will return for their final season. Starting with WR Ryan Colburn who ended his junior season with 41 rec for 535 yards and 9 TDs. By and large, Colburn's speed and quickness out of breaks in his routes stood out. Colburn's ability to change direction and make physical catches in the red area was huge for the Hornets. Additionally, QB Colden Johnson was the one delivering accurate throws to Colburn. Johnson brings a lot of creativity to this offense as he can use his legs to extend plays and throw on the run.

Saranac Chiefs

A playoff threat that is a physical team here with the Saranac Chiefs. By all means the Chiefs have a physical QB in Corbin Duffield that will lower his shoulder to gain extra yards. Duffield does have the passing ability to make throws in the short and intermediate portions of the field. Conversely, The Chiefs have a talented CB in Anthony Bingham that is able to cover all sorts of ground on the field. He is a patient CB that is intelligent in his ability to read routes to attack upon them to make plays on the ball.

AuSable Valley Patriots

The AuSable Valley Patriots are a team that I put on here because they have the potential to surprise teams. No doubt a huge component to the success of the Patriots physicality. Comparatively, that will be watched with RB Deon Lawyer who runs between the tackles with good physicality and speed. Lawyer is an asset out of the backfield as a receiving option which adds value. Look for the Patriots to lean on Marco Amato and Aidan Blaise this season as well.

Saranac Lake Red Storm

The Saranac Lake Red Storm is a smaller program that I see being a competitive program this upcoming season. Certainly, a giant component that will be impacting games will be DT Samuel Duprey. No doubt Dumprey is a DT who can cause havoc from multiple techniques on the defensive line. The quickness off the LOS, power, and active hands to battle through blocks to make plays in the backfield will show. Furthermore, other key players for the Red Storm will be TE Gunner Harrison, who has dynamic size at 6'5", and QB Evan Harvey, who should man the offensive side.
