Where Each Defensive Back Ranks in the 2027 Louisiana Rankings

The state of Louisiana is stacked with talent at many different positions, including the defensive back position group. This group have 56 prospects ranked in the class of 2027 along, along with is players on the watchlist. Here is where each of them stand. He is currently committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders and is one of the players who will find himself in a position to dominate the competition this season. Lewis is going to be the best player in the state at the position, in my opinion. I think he will also find a way to make a push for the top five, although the state's talent is about as good as it will get. He has the chance to be elite this season, but in order to do that, he will have to make improvements from last season. Anding is just two spots behind Lewis, as he ranks as the No. 12 prospect in the state when it comes to the class of 2027, but he also ranks as the No. 2 defensive back in the state. He plays for Ruston High School, which is one of the better high school programs in The Boot. He is also one of the better players in this program, which makes him a must-see prospect this season. He has a ranking of No. 15 and No. 3 when it comes to defensive backs. Eugene is going to be one of the better players this season due to his size and measurables. He is also going to be playing for a team that will need him at his best this season. If they can get him at his best, then they will have the chance to be state champions this season. He ranks as the No. 17 prospect in the class and is the No. 4 defensive back in the class when it comes to being in the state of Louisiana. He isn't the biggest guy, but he is still a solid-sized prospect and will be a player who finds his stride in coverage when it comes to zone. He has the chance to be even better than his ranking shows, and could rise in the rankings quickly. It goes to show just how good the defensive backs are in the state of Louisiana.
