Excellent showing at various camps this spring. Third-year head coach Stan Hodges described him as ‘tough-nosed” with a good arm and quick feet for running the ball. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2252680' first='Kobe' last='Floyd'], Mayfield</strong>: New Mayfield coach Joseph Frias is extremely high on Floyd, who is listed at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds. Huge upside. Mayfield's 2026 roster is filled with talented up-and-comers and Floyd tops the list. Destined to become one of the top defensive ends in southern NM, if not the state. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2252809' first='Carter' last='Galbraith'], Alamogordo</strong>: Alamogordo head coach AJ Cisco believe the Tigers offensive line has the potential to be one of the school's best in recent years. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Galbraith will be the anchor. Finished fourth in the 181-pound class at the state powerlifting championships in April. Made 29 tackles as a sophomore LB in 2025 for an encouraging start to his varsity career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2252692' first='Tyler' last='Guamond'], Roswell</strong>: Guamond has the potential to become another in a long line of great Roswell defensive linemen. He'll compete for playing time and a starting job in 2026. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2252797' first='Angelo' last='Hinojos'], Mayfield</strong>: Meet Mayfield's probable new starting quarterback. Hinojos has an excellent throwing arm and Mayfield's new offensive scheme should fit his skills perfectly. Brings good size (6-foot-1, 180 pounds) and athleticism to the job.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2191968' first='Daijon' last='Jackson'], Eldorado</strong>: Jackson impressed with Eldorado's JV team in 2025. Right now, he's competing for the No. 2 RB job. If he wins it, he'll be part of what could be a very dynamic Eldorado offense based on what we saw in during 7x7 season. He'll likely be La Cueva's backup QB and contribute as a WR/TE in 2026.  Also an exceptional track athlete (third in the state in javelin) and power lifter (he deadlifted 465 pounds in March).
