Milford Mill should be good to go in the running game with Dajaun Nelson and [player_tooltip player_id='2240795' first='Raemond' last='Williams'] coming back for their junior year. Now, they will need a couple of players to step up at the wide receiver position (over 1,200 yards and 13 touchdowns receiving between two players last season)

Nelson was a big part of Milford Mill's rushing attack last season, carrying the football 81 times for 770 yards and 10 touchdowns while sharing the workload with Damon Ferguson. He's a clear No. 1 coming into this season. Most of the time, Nelson is probably among the smallest players on the field. On the flip side, he is probably also the fastest and most explosive. He really has 1,000-plus-yard potential this season. Nelson is a true home-run hitter.

Williams is the second-leading returner in rushing. He carried the football 40 times for 380 yards and 3 touchdowns in 9 games last season. Just like Nelson, he's on the smaller side but explosive. The way he accelerates once he hits the hole is outstanding. Williams also runs hard. I think more carries for him will bring upon more production this season.

Harris made 24 total tackles (17 solo) last season. He has to be one of the more intriguing players coming back for the 2026 season. It looks like his focus is on defense, but I could see somebody looking at his frame and athleticism and recruiting him as a wide receiver. Harris looks like he could be an Edge/LB with his quickness. Colleges have already taken notice as he already has several P4 offers.

Harris made 37 total tackles (22 solo and 17 tackles for a loss) and sacked the quarterbacks 8.5 times last season. He's a 6-0, 200-pound edge defender who plays aggressive and makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage. Another undersized player for his position but able to use his quickness and speed off the ball to overcome that.

Johnson made 53 total tackles (27 solo) and sacked the quarterback 6.5 times last season. He's at his best when he's coming downfield and attacking the ball. When he shoots the gap in between the tackles, Johnson is impossible to block. He'll probably have to show his pass-coverage skills during off-season camps. Johnson is a physical tackler and runs through ball-carriers on the regular.

Ross got some touches at running back this past season, carrying the football 33 times for 223 yards and three touchdowns. He has two solid running backs currently in front of him, so look for him to get more in the mix on the defensive side of hte football.
