One of the premier training and player development programs in Michigan hosted a joint prospect camp with Godwin Heights at Carl P. Bahre Stadium. It was a highly competitive camp that consisted of individual drills, 1 on 1s, 3 over 2 and ended with some 7v7 action. Below is the first group of playmakers that really stood out!

This 27 prospect can be described as a do it all or 3 down back. His full array of skills was on display the entire camp. Julius is very quick twitch with great change of direction, but I was most impressed with his abilities in the pass game. Julius looked good in indy's, simulating blocks and blitz pickups. He took that a step further with his route running coming out of the backfield and his ability to separate from linebackers and safeties. He solidified all of that, attacking the ball in the air, pulling it in showcasing his hands and ball skills. Hoskins has some really good speed and is a great overall athlete which I think can partially be attributed to his illustrious track and field background.

Justin is a prospect I've had my eye on for a while now who's game has consistently developed over the years. He came into the camp as an athlete but took the most DB reps on the day. Davis was absolutely lock down all day, showcasing many different skills. I was really impressed by his mechanics and the technique he played with. Davis displayed a high IQ by lining up in different leverages during 3 over 2 and executing different zone coverages during 7v7. He is very patient in his stance and does not get unsettled with receivers attacking his leverage. He also did a good job at coming out of his back pedal and attacking through the hands and body of receivers.

Ethan has solidified himself as one of the underclassmen QBs in the state to keep an eye on. I've tracked his movements over the summer, and he is poised to have a good sophomore season. He is a good athlete at the QB position with really nice movement. Mellott looks really comfortable getting the ball downfield when rolling out, as he had many completions and connections at the camp. I liked how he soaked in the coaching of different concepts and executed with good mechanics and timing during the 3 over 2 and 7v7 portions.

Forest is a QB prospect who has been making waves this entire off season. With two years of starting varsity experience, his game has continued to advance over time. That was evident at this prospect camp as I witnessed his arm talent again in person. The lefty has a bit of an unorthodox release, with that being said the ball still jumps out of his hand and the spin is still there. He has always had a strong arm and the ability to get the ball downfield. Where I think he excelled the most was his timing with his receivers and his ability to hit different windows in between defenders. Martellis has a very confident arm which comes from all of the time and technical reps I've seen him put in.

I believe this camp was Timothy's coming out party. If his camp performance is any indication of how his season will look then we are in for a treat! TJ is a good raw athlete with natural speed and athleticism. His innate abilities transfer to the DB position perfectly (whether he's playing safety or cornerback). I was thoroughly impressed with his ability to play trail technique and still be in perfect position. If TJ did happen to get beat, he had enough closing speed to catch up and make a play on the ball. His hands were also on display all day as he made multiple one handed catches-one was an interception.

Zeke would be on a very short list of prospects who have dominated the entire summer! From beginning to end, I've seen him make play after play in every setting and that continued in this camp as well. He plays the receiver position with such a high motor he always finds himself in the right spot at the right time. Andrina's footwork was on display during the individual drill portion as he executed the 3 cut cone drill with ease. His low center of gravity and muscular build lends to his ability to separate at the top of his routes. He performed like the prototypical slot getting loose for TDs on underneath routes while still showing he is more than capable of being a downfield threat.
