We're heading over to the 2029 class today to highlight a group of talented inside/slot receivers who can make their impact felt this fall if things go according to plan.

Peercy is a shifty athlete who operates really well in space. He has good vision, makes sharp cuts out of the backfield, and does a nice job getting north and south once he sees a lane. I also like what he brings as a slot receiver. He's a shifty route runner who creates separation underneath and is dangerous after the catch because of his ability to make the first defender miss. I think he's got some intriguing long-term upside because he's someone who can turn into a playmaker from multiple spots.

Clark is a versatile player with good contact balance and reliable hands. He can be a mismatch coming out of the backfield because he's comfortable catching the football and making defenders miss in space. He has enough speed to stretch the field when needed, but I think he's at his best working underneath where he can get the ball quickly and create after the catch. He does a nice job turning short touches into positive plays, and that's a valuable trait to have in any offense.

Johnson is good off the line and does a nice job getting into his routes quickly. He's comfortable making plays down the field and has no problem tracking and catching the ball over his shoulder. For a younger receiver, he already shows a pretty solid route tree and doesn't look limited to just a few concepts. He looks the ball all the way in instead of trying to turn upfield too early. He does a bunch of little things correctly, which quickly add up. I think he's fairly talented and has quite a bit of untapped potential.

Parks is a dynamic receiver who can win down the field with his speed and acceleration. He gets on top of defenders in a hurry and has the burst to force defenders into a pinch. I also think he could be really effective in the screen game because he's dangerous once the ball gets in his hands. He's not the biggest receiver, but he slips through small creases, makes defenders miss in space, and has a knack for gashing defenses when they take a bad angle. If he continues to develop, I can see him being a gadget receiver that exposes defenses' weaknesses.

Waters is a shifty receiver who fits naturally in the slot and can also make an impact as a kick returner. He has good top-end speed and does a nice job carrying that speed through his cuts without slowing down much. For a smaller receiver, he has really good contact balance and does a nice job staying on his feet after first contact, likely because of his work in the weight room. He's dangerous once the ball gets in his hands because he can make the first defender miss and gash the defense. I'll be curious to see how he develops in year 2 and if he keeps trending in the right direction.

We're heading over to the 2029 class today to highlight a group of talented inside/slot receivers who can make their impact felt this fall if things go according to plan.
