The Heritage Hall Chargers came into the 2025 season expecting to once again be one of the top teams in Class 3A. That's exactly how the season played out as Heritage Hall would win 10+ games once again and be one of the top contenders in the class. They opened the season with a dominant 30-0 win over Clinton. The following week, they had their only setback in the regular season, losing 35-6 to Lincoln Christian. From then on out, the Chargers were absolutely dominant. They rolled over Millwood and then went into the district slate and the domination only continued. They ran away with another district championship, kept their lengthy district game winning streak intact and the closest contest was a ten-point win over Plainview in week seven. Other than that, they won every other district game by 19 points or more. They rolled into the playoffs with a lot of momentum off the district championship and they didn't slow down when they got there. The Chargers won a shootout against Seminole in the first round of the playoffs. They would then host a surprise Inola squad in the quarterfinals and roll to another easy win. That set up a rematch with rival Lincoln Christian in the semifinals. For the third consecutive year, Lincoln Christian would end Heritage Hall's season as they would go on to capture a third straight state championship. The season came to an end with an 11-2 record. But there's no doubt that the Chargers are hungrier than ever to get back on top of the 3A mountain in Oklahoma.

2026 OUTLOOK

The Chargers come into the 2026 season with high expectations once again and that's become the norm. Heritage Hall has been one of the very best programs in Oklahoma over the last decade and they show no signs of slowing down this season. They come into this season as the number four-ranked team in the 3A preseason rankings and it wouldn't be surprising to see them outplay that by the end of the year. Seven starters return on the offensive side of the ball but more than anything, the Chargers come into this season with a few key returners that were banged up during the 2025 season. They bring back their quarterback and a decent amount of their playmakers, along with a really strong offensive line. While the offense has the potential to be much better in 2026, we could say the same thing about the defensive side of the ball and then some. Eight starters return on the defense and their linebacker group could end up being one of the better positional groups in Class 3A this season. Heritage Hall will find themselves in a new district that will certainly test that district winning streak. They'll also find themselves on the road quite a bit as they are in an east side district in Class 3A this season. That schedule, combining non-district and district contests will once again be one of the toughest in Class 3A. They'll see Lincoln Christian in the regular season but the big, bad Bulldogs have dropped down to 2A-1. So the Chargers have their sights set on making a run at their first state title since 2022.

We mentioned earlier in the preview how Heritage Hall was bringing back some serious talent that got banged up last season. 2027 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2110701' first='Caleb' last='Blue'] is one of the top returners that has the potential for a big season this fall. First off, “big” is the key word as Blue is hard to miss, measuring in at 6'6 heading into this season. When we got a chance to watch the Chargers in person back in the spring, Blue was one of the guys that caught our eye immediately because of his size. Heritage Hall is confident with what they have coming back on the line of scrimmage. It's easy to see why when they have a player like Blue anchoring that offensive line.

2027 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1830197' first='Carson' last='Phelps'] is just one returning piece in this Heritage Hall defense that has coaches excited about their potential. Phelps emerged as the leading tackler for the Charger defense last season and he's a big reason why Heritage Hall is very confident in what they have returning at the linebacker position. There are a few other linebackers that you'll need to keep an eye on this season but Phelps looks to build off his 100+ tackle season in 2025. All signs point to him emerging as a leader on a defense that brings back nearly every starter from last season and is hungry for more as the Chargers begin their pursuit of a state title.

2028 running back and wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2138061' first='Max' last='Everett'] is the ultimate swiss army knife for this Heritage Hall offense. Last season, Everett emerged as a sophomore as a guy that the Chargers could use at running back but he was equally as impactful when they split him out at wide receiver. We've had the benefit of seeing Everett in multiple offseason events and the guy brings the juice every time he steps on the football field. Overlooking Everett as an overall playmaker would be a terrible mistake for Heritage Hall opponents this season. In our opinion, he has the potential to emerge as one of the better “all purpose” performers in Class 3A this season.

2027 running back [player_tooltip player_id='1836490' first='Nash' last='Eiser'] ended up being one of the breakout players for the Chargers on the offensive side of the ball last season. As a junior, Eiser would emerge as the leading rusher on the Chargers, finishing with over 700 yards and eight touchdowns. He'll have help with him in the backfield with Everett also getting some looks at the running back position. But look for Eiser to be their main back as they move Everett around in this offense. It will be interesting to see what his overall production looks like this season. Because all signs are pointing to him having more of a workload this season. What he ends up doing with the opportunity will be fun to watch.

The Chargers come into this season needing more consistent playmakers to step up at the wide receiver position. 2027 wide out [player_tooltip player_id='1830196' first='Porter' last='England'] is one of the guys that Heritage Hall coaches are excited about coming into this season. Consistent is the key word with England as that's what he's been this offseason for the Chargers. At one of their 7v7 tournaments this summer, England emerged as the top target, consistently getting open, consistently catching the ball and consistently making plays. There are a few potential players that could end up being breakout stars for the Chargers this season. England is definitely a name to remember heading into 2026.

2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1830199' first='Teagan' last='Lawson'] returns for his senior season after dealing with nagging injuries in 2025. At this time last year, Lawson was showing flashes that he could be an emerging star in the Heritage Hall offense but he could never get that consistent momentum because he got banged up. Now, heading into the 2026 season, Lawson looks fantastic and is ready to make up for lost time. When we watched the Chargers in the spring, Lawson was one of the better quarterbacks that we saw all spring. He had complete control of the offense and the ball rarely hit the turf when he was slinging it. Look for Lawson to emerge as one of 3A's top passers.

2028 Wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1669357' first='Tripp' last='Thomas'] has all the potential in the world to have a breakout season for the Chargers this season. If this spring was any indication, Thomas is going to be a massive part of what they do on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Thomas is a big target in the passing game and a legitimate playmaker at the wide receiver position. There were multiple instances when Thomas was making some big time plays, emerging as a serious weapon for Lawson. Defensively, Thomas feels like a player who can play that “centerfielder” role where he's roaming from sideline to sideline in the secondary, making plays on defense as well.

2026 SCHEDULE

Aug. 28th - AT Shiloh Christian, AR.
- Heritage Hall crosses state lines for the first time in recent memory when they open the regular season in week zero against Arkansas powerhouse Shiloh Christian. As far as we know, this if their first game against an out-of-state opponent in the last few decades. They are familiar with Shiloh after playing for years in their 7v7 tournament each summer.
Sept. 4th - Lincoln Christian
- The Chargers will host Lincoln Christian in the home opener and that's a team that has had Heritage Hall's number for a while now. Overall, Lincoln Christian has won eight straight games against the Chargers, including multiple playoff meetings. Lincoln has dropped down to 2A-1 but Heritage Hall is desperate to turn things around in this series.
Sept. 18th - AT Millwood
- After a week off, the Chargers make a short trip over to Millwood in week three to wrap up non-district play. This has been a fun non-district series since the two teams started meeting back in 2018. The Chargers have also had the edge here, winning seven straight against the Falcons. Millwood will look different in 2026 with a new head coach taking over.
Sept. 25th - Stigler
- The district schedule opens up with a home game against Stigler in week four. It's a new district lineup for the Chargers but they will have a little familiarity with Stigler when they face off. They met back in 2022 in the playoffs and there were also playoff meetings in 2018 and 2019. Heritage Hall won each of those meetings by 20+ points.
Oct. 2nd - AT Muldrow
- Heritage Hall heads to Muldrow in week five, in what will be one of their longer road trips of the season. This is also the first of three trips to the east side of the state in a four-week period so the Chargers will get very familiar with I-44 eastbound. Muldrow is reloading after losing some serious talent to graduation and this will be their first meeting.
Oct. 8th - Bristow
- The Chargers return home in week six to host Bristow on a Thursday night. Bristow is another new district opponent for the Chargers and another new opponent in general. We believe that this will be the first meeting between these two programs. Bristow comes into this season with one of the more athletic quarterbacks in Class 3A football.
Oct. 15th - AT Locust Grove
- On a Fall Break Thursday night, Heritage Hall will head east again to square off with Locust Grove in week seven. It's been a little over a decade since these two met in a very memorable semifinal clash back in 2014. The Chargers prevailed that night, on their way to a state championship. But Locust Grove is fighting to get back to that stage.
Oct. 23rd - AT Inola
- It's the final road game in the regular season and it will see Heritage Hall head to Inola in week eight. The Longhorns are another new district opponent for the Chargers this season but they saw them last year. Inola came to Oklahoma City in the quarterfinal round. The Chargers prevailed with a 49-17 victory but Inola brings back some strong skill players.
Oct. 30th - Perkins-Tryon
- After back to back trips to the east side of the state, Heritage Hall returns home for one of the biggest district tests they'll face this season. They host Perkins-Tryon in week nine and the Demons have emerged as a consistent contender in Class 3A over the last few seasons. These two were district foes from 2018-2021 and the Chargers went 4-0 during that stretch.
Nov. 6th - Verdigris
- The regular season wraps up with a week ten home game against Verdigris. This will be a Cardinal team that is much improved as they bring back basically everyone from last year's team. We expect the Cardinals to make a major jump this season so the Chargers will need to be ready. This is their first meeting since the 2022 playoffs, where the Chargers won.

NOTABLE

It's a new beginning for Heritage Hall as their own personal boogeyman is gone for at least the next two seasons. Lincoln Christian has been a significant thorn in the side of the Chargers (and most of 3A) for the last seven seasons. In the last seven years, Lincoln Christian has ended Heritage Hall's season in the playoffs on six different occasions, including the last three years. The one exclusion was in 2022 when the Chargers won the state championship. For head coach Brett Bogert, Lincoln is also responsible for the majority of his losses as Heritage Hall's head coach. In their last ten meetings, Bogert's Chargers are 2-8 against Lincoln Christian. They've only lost four games to anyone else during the last decade. Just an absolutely absurd stat. But Lincoln Christian isn't gone for good. These two will meet in week one when the Bulldogs visit the Chargers. But Lincoln Christian has dropped down to Class 2A-1 for at least the next two seasons. So when you're talking about the overall outlook of the 2026 season, it has to be brighter when you're talking about the team that ended your season in the playoffs six of the last seven years. The door is opening for the Chargers to climb back to the top of the mountain in Class 3A and this year, they don't need to look around the corner for a Bulldog waiting to bite them.
