The Class of 2029 continues to produce talented young quarterbacks across Central Florida, and while plenty of development still lies ahead, these five signal-callers have shown enough early on to believe a breakout season could be on the horizon.

Kingston Loydd | 2029 | Lake Wales | @KingstonL50761

Stepping into a starting role as a freshman is never easy, especially at a program with the expectations of Lake Wales. Loydd handled the challenge with maturity beyond his years and never looked overwhelmed by the moment. He showed encouraging pocket presence throughout the season while displaying good touch on intermediate routes and the willingness to work through his progressions. What stood out most was his composure under pressure, something that typically takes young quarterbacks several years to develop. As he continues adding strength, improving his consistency, and becoming more comfortable reading defenses, Loydd has all the tools to make a significant jump this season. The experience gained as a freshman should pay dividends moving forward.

Teo Edwards | 2029 | Auburndale | @EdwardsTeo7

Edwards remains one of the most naturally gifted young quarterbacks in Central Florida. His athleticism immediately catches your attention, but it's the confidence and command he plays with that separates him from many quarterbacks his age. He throws with confidence, moves well inside and outside the pocket, and has shown flashes of being able to create explosive plays when things break down. The arm talent is evident, but perhaps even more impressive is the way he carries himself as a leader. As his mechanics continue becoming more consistent and he gains valuable varsity experience, Edwards has all the ingredients to emerge as one of the top quarterbacks in Florida's 2029 class.

Peyton Carroll | 2029 | Jones | @PeytonCarrollQB

Carroll brings an impressive combination of size, athleticism, and versatility to the quarterback position. At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he already possesses a frame that should continue developing over the next several years. His dual-threat ability allows him to extend plays with his legs while keeping his eyes downfield, making him difficult for defenses to contain. Playing within a competitive program like Jones should accelerate his development against quality competition every day in practice. Continuing to improve his timing, anticipation, and decision-making will be important this season, but the physical tools are certainly in place for Carroll to make a noticeable leap.

[player_tooltip player_id='2228625' first='Trenton' last='Washington'] | 2029 | Melbourne Central Catholic | @TrentonWQB

Washington quickly became one of my favorite young quarterbacks to evaluate this offseason because of the combination of physical tools and confidence he brings to the position. He already owns a mature frame with plenty of room to continue filling out, and his athleticism allows him to create outside the structure of the offense. Washington throws with confidence and doesn't appear intimidated by pressure situations, qualities that are difficult to teach at such a young age. As he continues gaining valuable game experience and polishing the finer details of the position, don't be surprised if he puts together a strong sophomore campaign that attracts even more attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='1677228' first='Zion' last='Benn'] | 2029 | Dunnellon | @zionqb1

Benn gives defenses problems because of his ability to impact the game both through the air and on the ground. His athleticism provides a dynamic element that allows him to escape pressure, extend drives, and create explosive plays when protection breaks down. While his running ability naturally stands out, there is encouraging upside as a passer as well. Improving his timing, accuracy, and consistency throwing from the pocket will be major points of emphasis moving forward. With another offseason of development and increased confidence, Benn has the opportunity to become one of the more exciting dual-threat quarterbacks to watch in Central Florida this fall.

The Class of 2029 continues to produce talented young quarterbacks across Central Florida, and while plenty of development still lies ahead, these five signal-callers have shown enough early on to believe a breakout season could be on the horizon.
