Last Season (9-1)

Eagle Academy III was DOMINANT last season. Dominant. They won 9 of their 10 games, 7 of those wins being shutouts (not including a forfeit win week 1). They had wins like 41-0 over Grand Street, 41-0 over FDR HS, and 43-0 over Far Rockaway. They only gave up 14 points all season! And managed to score over 30 points in 6/10 of their games. They did not just win games-they dominated opponents. I'm excited to dive into their fun group of prospects!

Top Prospect

Hear me out. Khasir is not Prep Redzone's highest ranked prospect from Eagle Academy III. But, upon re-watching everyone's film from the program-I have to put Khasir here. He's such a fun watch and such an exciting athlete. The first thing that stands out about Khasir is his strong and natural hands at the point of the catch. You're not ripping the ball from his hands once it gets there. He's got an easy ability to create separation and flashes some major speed. I felt like he played much bigger than his listed height at 5'9. He's a guy I'm really confident can play and provide value at the next level.

X-Factors

[player_tooltip player_id='1726845' first='Jaylen' last='Cobb'] is a great player. Got some rare twitch and get off for a kid his size (6'3, 260!). He's tough, he's nasty, he finishes plays, and he looks for contact. Right now in high school ball he really excels playing against the run. He plays DL for Eagle Academy III, but I think he can be an EDGE at the next level. He may need to shed a little bit of weight, but I believe that colleges coaches will able to bring out that athleticism and bend and turn him into a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. Even if he stays more inside, however, he's gonna be a great player for a college football team.

Jordan Smith's an impressive quarterback. He's got a nice mix of both velocity and touch. Smooth release, calm footwork. He's got good feel in the pocket, and looks calm and unbothered. Throws outside the numbers well and puts the ball in spots that allow receivers to run with it. He's a point guard. I'd love to see him throw on the run a bit more and see how he moves outside of the pocket.

Weems is a big human being. 6'0, 330. He's a solid guard, he's got grown man strength and the ability to move defenders off the ball. His footwork can get sloppy at times, and I'd love to see him be able to get to the second level, and finish off defenders a bit more. He's content to keep guys in front of him when he's got the strength to finish them to the ground. He looks the part and has some really nice plays on film, he's just gotta put it all together.

Beeharry has a bit of what I want to see from Weems. He's mean. The first play of his tape is him absolutely leveling a defensive lineman. He's able to turn and move defensive lineman off their feet. He plays mean and plays rude. They're able to pull him and get him out in space and he holds his own pretty well. He moves surprisingly well for a guy that's 6'2, 313. Colleges love guys like this-physical tools + mentality = a coach's GUY.

Breakout Player

Register has ELITE size for his age. 315 as a 2028 is rare. 6'3 is also really impressive and I'd wager he grows a bit more before he graduates high school. I'd like to see him clean up his footwork a bit, and finish more plays to the ground. He's certainly got the strength to do it. He's a little raw in terms of pass protection but he's got the tools and the body for it. With all these tools in place I'm looking forward to him having a true breakout season next year.

Names to Know

Position

Player

Class

Notes

WR

[player_tooltip player_id='2142493' first='Daryus' last='Mohammed']

2027

6'4 receiver headed into his senior year

OL

Damari Biggs

2027

6'3 tackle headed into his senior year

WR/DB/Returner

Carter Mordaunt

2027

Smaller, faster returner that can contribute on both sides of the ball

Key Losses

RB- Jaeden White
MLB- Oluwalotobijoba Pitan
OL- Jah-Dorae Bernard
DL- Shamari Jamison
DL- Shayquan Simmons

Schedule

https://www.psal.org/profiles/team-profile.aspx#005/29569/2027

2026 Outlook

Eagle Academy III should dominate once again this upcoming season. They've got a lot of their foundation still in place, their quarterback is returning, they have a fantastic receiver coming back, and an amazing defensive lineman coming back as well. It's always a plus when your best returning players play impact positions. They have lost a few talented seniors, but I'd expect them to have a really successful season with teams such as FDR HS, Harry S. Truman HS, and John Adams HS on their schedule. Look for Eagle III to have another fantastic season in 2026!
