Class of ‘29 Prospects Primed to Elevate

Folks now know of the most recent additions to the rankings, as well as who are the current Top 10 players. Next up, I wanted to share my insight on some players I believe have a shot at climbing the rankings this season. Venerable stood out amongst his peers during the evaluation process. He possesses a rare combination of power and speed for his age. Since the ‘25 campaign, the sophomore-to-be appears to have improved his game, as he's looked impressive at multiple camp showcases. In the recent update Gulley of Mill Valley maintained his status as a Top 25 prospect and is now the 3rd ranked player at his position. The best way to describe his game is versatile. He can be a bruising runner, catch passes out of the backfield, and he's even played a little tight end. He's also an exceptional wrestler, as he placed 2nd in the state tournament back in March. Bettis of Hayden came into the rankings just outside the Top 50 at No. 53 overall and is now the top ranked player at his position. He's an up-and-coming three-sport athlete that boasts an already promising frame. At 6-foot-4 he has the ideal height for an edge rusher at a young age, and he's likely not finished growing. Similar to Bettis, Nichols also has a good frame for his age. Nichols stands at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, and has a squat max of 335 pounds. Given the Trailblazers' recent development of pass rushers, Nichols could potentially blossom into a game wrecker. Last week he debuted at No. 67 overall and became the 4th ranked offensive linemen in the class. He's a stout lineman that's capable of playing guard or center, and he brings physicality to the table.
