2027 Rankings: Watch List Players Ready to Breakout

I take a look at some of the watch list players that have a chance to have big senior years. Players can make the watch list for multiple reasons...new to the game, didn't see much playing time as a Jr. or missed with injury. I look at some names that I have been able to get eyes on heading into the fall that are going to key players for their teams and surely will be in the next rankings upate.

Ethan makes his way to the watch list as 2026 will be his first season playing football. A basketball player who is taking his athleticisms to the TE/DE position for Concordia. I was able to get eyes on Ethan back in early spring and he impressed in workouts. Good overall athleticism, he runs well with a smooth gliding stride. He is an excellent leaper, going up and high point the ball. He showed off solid hands snatching the ball out of the air. Overall he is a developmental player that needs to just get reps & improve consistency. He is raw, best as a split out TE at this stage, but there is potential there. Ethan is a player that could breakout this fall as a nice offensive weapon for Concordia and one to watch out for.

University of Maryland 7v7 Camp 📍🐢
Competed against great talent and kept working.
Grateful for the opportunity. @CoachBrownDB @CoachBatts @TerpsFootball pic.twitter.com/ed0QSpAAoI
— Ethan Harris-Robinson (@Ethanupnext) June 18, 2026

Trevor is set to take over for as QB1 for Edmondson-Westside this upcoming fall after spending his Jr. year at Mervo. With good size standing at 6'2" he is sure be poised in the pocket. While having no 2025 film, Trevor has showed promise this spring in workouts & 7v7s. He gets the ball out quick with good zip and spin. Sees the field well and puts it on his playmakers. Trevor throws and accurate and catchable ball across all 3 levels. Already getting some college interest as well as holding an offer from Central State. Look for Trevor to make his mark in Baltimore this fall and onto the post-season rankings.

New road, New Journey, Same goals #Sg #Agtg pic.twitter.com/eA4JqSFaSK
— Trevor “t-way” Goodman (@Twaydxts) June 23, 2026

Dominick finds his way to the watch list as he missed the majority of his junior year due to injury. He is in line to be a key contributor on D for Curley for this upcoming season. A roving safety who can play in the box or in a 2 deep. Dominick flies around the field and is not shy of throwing his body into the tackle. He has had a strong camp season this fall, recording a 4.6 40, showing fluid hips and good ball skills. Dominick is also a high academic prospect with a 4.38 GPA. Already holding an offer from Catholic U, if Dominick can put together some impactful early senior season film look for Dominick to have interest pick up from high academic D3 schools.

Very thankful to receive an official offer from Catholic University. A good size wideout at 6'1" 195lbs and good length. Jared showed nice burst off the LOS, accelerating to top speed and being able to gear down for sharp cuts. Nice overall athleticism and a player that can make tough catches. Jared has no film from the 2025 season but showed be another piece in the talented offensive core at Salesianum this fall.

Jayden comes into the recent rankings on the watch list as he only played 2 games last fall due to tearing his ACL in game 3. Healthy for the upcoming year he looks to be a key player on the Hodgson defense. Able to play ILB or OLB, Jayden is a strong athlete who can get all over the field. A strong tackler as well, he packs a punch and plays bigger than his size. A high academic prospect as well with a 4.1 GPA, Jayden just needs to get some good tape this fall for D3 academics to start taking notice. Don't be surprised to see Jayden make some impact plays this fall and help a deep Hodgson squad to a strong season.

Junior Year Highlights⬇️ https://t.co/zuGgLU2F2d
— Jayden Yancey (@JaydenYanceyC27) November 15, 2025
