For all high school football teams, the goal of every season is to be practicing on Thanksgiving Day. Not only has that goal remained the same each and every season for the Camden Bulldogs, but it's now become an expectation.

"We know we're good, but we still have to come out and play and prove it," quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1354590' first='Greyson' last='Rimpf'] said of what the message this offseason has been. "If we do that and play to our ability, we'll be in a place to have a good season."

Added head coach Brian Rimpf: "We're very demanding of our guys and we want them to understand that we've been one of the most successful programs in the state over the last seven years. We've practiced on Thanksgiving five of the last seven years and going back to 3A is something we're comfortable with, because the last four years we were 3A lower state we made three state championship games, so we expect to be right back there again."

One area that Rimpf was extraordinarily excited about was the depth and veteran presence of his offensive line. Camden will return four offensive linemen, including seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1822669' first='Worth' last='Thomasson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1823953' first='Kenneth' last='Lawson'] both of whom are the first two three-year starters in Rimpf's 10-year tenure.

STARS SET TO SHINE

[player_tooltip player_id='1354590' first='Greyson' last='Rimpf'] QB, 2027 (pictured) - Rimpf is entering his third year as the starter for Camden and is coming off a junior season that saw him throw for 2,390 yards with 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Rimpf also made an impact in the rushing attack with 26 carries for 101 yards and four rushing touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1302875' first='Will' last='Haunert'] WR/TE, 2027 - Haunert is making the transition from wide receiver to tight end this season and is expected to be a key part of the pass game. Last season, he hauled in 23 catches for 434 and eight touchdowns. He was very aware that improving his blocking needed to be a focal part of his offseason work and it's something he's worked tirelessly to improve and is excited to showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='1825202' first='Lavay' last='Penny'] LB, 2028 - As a sophomore last season, Penny led the team in tackles with 128 and also collected six tackles for loss and three sacks. He was a ballhawk on defense when the ball hit the ground, as he led the team with four fumble recoveries. His coaching staff believes he has two more stellar years ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id='2246636' first='Isaiah' last='Smith'] WR/RB, 2027 - Smith did a little bit of everything last season, accumulating 497 yards and six touchdowns on the ground, as well as 27 catches for 468 yards and four touchdowns at receiver. His track background and speed is something that his coach believes will allow him to have a monster senior season.

Film Review

[player_tooltip player_id='1720755' first='Jaden' last='Manning'] RB/MLB, 2027 - Manning doesn't have the most eye-opening stats, but his impact is made in places not seen on that stat sheet. Yes, he plays a bit of running back and linebacker, but he's also a key part of the special teams unit and can be seen making several tackles on kickoffs. He should have a bit more of an impact as a senior and his film shows he's willing to do whatever is asked of him.

KEY LOSSES

Tylin Drakeford ATH - Drakeford did everything for Camden last season, as he posted a 1,000-yard season at receiver with 10 touchdowns, as well as rushing for 304 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Navier Boykin RB - Boykin rushed for 1,172 yards and 16 touchdowns in his senior season, as well as hauling in three catches for 29 yards.

UP-AND-COMING STARS

[player_tooltip player_id='1772703' first='Bernard' last='Green'] WR, 2028 - Green produced as a sophomore, and it is easy to see why. He lined up outside, in the slot and even in the backfield. He was a true Swiss army knife and is expected to be used in that same role again this season. He'll have big shoes to fill for himself, as he averaged a team best 23.2 yards per reception in his first full season on the varsity team.

Aidan Manning RB, 2028 - The brother of our film review player, Manning is expected to see a major increase in playing time. He appeared in just two games as a sophomore but according to his head coach, he's expected to be a key part of the ground attack and replacing the production of Boykin.

Loney is another member of a returning offensive line that his head coach bragged so heavily about. He started all 13 games in his sophomore season and has had an offseason to get stronger and more physical.

Listed at 6-foot even and 260 pounds, Loney's ability to use his legs to help with his power make the coaching staff feel extremely confident in his ability to have another solid season.
