The Whitewater Mega Camp coverage train rolls on! The 2nd annual Whitewater Mega Camp is a very well organized one split into two sessions. First being the OL/DL and the second being the skill players. This year we were forced to settle with just the OL/DL session because of massive storms rolling through the area, but the big fellas showed up and showed out making it well worth the trip. The linemen were split into two categories by jerseys. Purple jerseys were the 2027s and white jerseys were the underclassmen. The turnout from the underclassmen group was outstanding and has me very excited for future OL and DL Classes. Let's dive into the performance of the best 28s and 29s!

I have been able to watch Verona's [player_tooltip player_id='2124833' first='Myles' last='Manning'] at least 3 times this summer and the 2029 OL has been at even more camps than that. The dude is definitely getting his name out there and getting himself in front of a ton of coaches. It was at last year's Whitewater camp that we first learned about Myles. Since then he has grown and added length to his frame. He has also gone a long way when it comes to his feet. During 1v1s at Whitewater the big man was very quickly moved up to compete with the seniors. That is where his full traits got to shine. His feet were quick, stayed underneath his frame so he was always balanced, and gave him the ability to mirror pass rushers. The length he has also came in clutch on multiple reps to keep edge rushers running wide past the QB. I'm excited to see the leap that Myles makes on the field this fall.

My MVP for the White Jersey athletes at the camp was Menasha OL [player_tooltip player_id='1709855' first='Noah' last='Kiley']. The pieces are quickly falling into place for one of the best 2028 OL in the state. My first note and takeaway from the day is that the big man had a Top 10 frame. Long and rather lean despite carrying 265+ lbs. That tells me the room is there to get up to that 280+ lbs range. Noah stood out from his age group with how he moved. Every movement was backed by violent power. Power that ran over DL in the board drills. It was so dominant that Noah was another undercalssman OL who was moved up to face the seniors. Noah flashed his ability to run laterally while engaged and still get that positive surge from the line of scrimmage. As a pass protector Noah is coming along too. He uses his length, and trusts his feet. Plus that anchor strength was well matched for the older athletes. It was a great showing for the Menasha big man.

The 28s and 29s on the OL sported some elite frames. Another member of that group is 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1918328' first='Parker' last='Macrae']. The 6'4" 270 lbs athlete carries that weight very well with very little excessive weight. That gives me the utmost confidence he can grow into a real monster in a college weight room. Even more size should equal even more power to his game as well. A scary thought considering that is his best strength when the pads went on. The big man has the leg drive to pump out board drill battle wins. In pass pro I was impressed by the improvement in his feet to be able to mirror pass rushers and pair that with his length to be able to handle counter moves. Parker is definitely one of the top OL to know in the Class of 2028.

This was my first chance to get to watch the Big Foot OL in action. The 2029 stood out from his group with that quickly budding frame. A frame that actually looked pretty smooth, loose, and fluid while they worked through the combine. When the pads went on it was clear Sam switched to lean more on his superior power compared to the other underclassmen. In board drills he overwhelmed DL, using his big frame to get momentum going in his favor and his leg drive never quit until the whistle. The big man is still working on perfecting his balance and body control throughout his reps, but his size, strength, and flashes of fluidity have me excited for what he could continue to develop into at Big Foot.

My first note on Soren came during the combine. It was impressive to see how explosively he could change direction, especially in the L-Drill. The big man has developed a very consistent and effective set of feet. It is clear he trusts that his feet can get him where he needs to be and when. The fluid OL has plenty of pass pro experience under his belt playing for Middleton this past season, and it was clearly a strength for him during the Mega Camp. The way he could pair his punches with his feet to make sure he wasn't caught reaching. This was my first time getting acquainted with the Middleton OL's game. He is someone to have on your recruiting boards over the next two years.

I've been a big fan of this 2028 IOL since last fall. The IOL holds down the LG position on arguably the best OL in the entire state of WI, Germantown. I love the way Jax plays when the pads come on. It is an impressive blend of explosive athleticism and violent power. He is so quick when asked to pull and closes quickly and will create plenty of movement on contact. The big man also has the ability to pack a punch with the momentum he generates just coming out of his stance to engage with the DL. His stout frame gives him the leverage and his leg drive works with it to drive DL off the ball. Don't sleep on the 2028 IOL. He is set to have a very impactful fall.

Another new athlete to hit my radar at this camp was 2029 DL Billy Gauger out of Wilmot Union. The tools are shining early for Billy based off what I saw at the Whitewater camp. On the field in pads is where he made a name for himself. Billy plays with a springy first step that gave him a leap on OTs. From the first step, Billy is able to accelerate through the rep. Even while he is showing his bend around the edge it seems like he is still picking up speed. Gauger also showed off some effective hand placement and use to always keep space from the OT so he could then win with his speed. The 2029 also has the quick twitch athleticism to be able to cut on a dime and cross the face of the OT to get into the backfield. The explosive athleticism and technique are great blocks to build on for the 2029. Don't miss out.

We end with an intriguing DE/Edge out of Janesville Parker. The '28 has the type of frame you look for. Long and lean, checking in around 6'4" 200 lbs. The frame is backed by the required athleticism. Harrison has the long speed to be able to run the loop and chase down plays from behind. He also has the ability to bend and get underneath OTs on his rush path. There is so much room on the frame of the 2028 too and time in a college weight room will do him wonders there and in the strength side of his game. I will be very interested in how he performs this fall for Parker.
