UND Flagship Camp: Nate's OL/DL MVPs+Another MB Standout to Know

We keep rolling thru our notebook from last Thursday's UND Flagship Camp with this time focusing in on the OL and DL MVPs as well as another Canadian prospect that keeps catching our attention at camps in the live eval. You would have to stretch some extreme mileage to see how far it takes from where our OL and DL MVP are from as it is a 1540 mile stretch from Winnipeg to Hoover, Alabama (yes, you read that right) as this might be the longest mileage we've tracked between MVP prospects at a college camp over the years. With that being said, it's time to roll out the dice and dish out what the live evals showed from these prospects from across the country in the trenches.    It was just a couple months ago where I got my last live eval out of Jaxson Fury who is now at Rabun-Gap-Nacoochee down in Georgia, but surely there was some skillsets that showed the growth I wanted to see out out of him in the live reps on Thursday morning in Grand Forks. He impressed me early with his pro agility as I surely thought he inserted more twitch in the testing period than what we saw a couple months ago. The area that was blooming for Jaxson was the technique he displayed with his hands, as I thought he brought more tenacity with his get off hands and even the reps that he didn't win, he showed off the competitive motor in his upper body to finish his reps with the high energy college coaches are going to want to see in the defensive trenches. He surely is going to be one to keep watching for for college coaches in this 2028 class at Midwest camps.     DL MVP   The flashback I had to Antayos last summer at the UND Flagship Camp was one I remember vividly, but holy cow was this young man on another level in Grand Forks this time around. He was very well-rounded in every 1v1 rep I had a front row seat for and won several reps with the amount of pure power and leverage he could draw with his hands, which if I recall I didn't see Antayos lose a rep in what I saw in the morning of the UND Flagship Camp from the bigs group. Antayos had excellent pad-level, quick generation of dominance at the point of attack, and you can bet we enjoyed watching how this kid finished on every rep as he was one of the best finishers I saw on either side of the ball. Just North Dakota and Eastern Michigan have offered the 2028 defensive tackle from Miles MacDonnell Collegiate in Winnipeg and is surely one that his next-level attention will continue to grow.     OL MVP   It was evident to me and talking with a handful of college coaches in attendance at the second UND Flagship Camp of the summer that the OL MVP of the morning group was Hoover (AL) 2029 prospect Braylen Cariveau. You don't see too many 2029s coming into a college camp that were as well-coaches as Braylen, as I didn't see this young man lose a rep once in the 1v1 period in Grand Forks. The 6'2 280 pounder has highly tenacious hands that were well-versed in pass-pro from a pad-level perspective as well as his ability to drive off DLs way away from the ball carrier was surely eye-catching to say the least. Braylen is the younger brother of UND offensive linemen Isaac Cariveau (Detroit Lakes) and is a offensive linemen that should be an early D1 target in my eyes out this 2029 class in Alabama at powerhouse Hoover.
