Tennessee high school football is loaded with talent heading into the 2026 season, and the Class 4A group is packed with standout offensive playmakers. As summer approaches, several guys are emerging as top prospects to watch in Tennessee high school football recruiting.

In this scouting series breaking down the top football players by position and classification, here's an in-depth look at the top five Class 4A wide receivers in Tennessee entering the 2026 high school football season.

Photo: Springfield sophomore DB [player_tooltip player_id='1193376' first='Jermaine' last='Cobbins'] during a game.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1193376' first='Jermaine' last='Cobbins'] – Springfield High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1193376' first='Jermaine' last='Cobbins'] is one of the nation's elite defensive backs for the 2028 class, but he's also one of the best wide receivers in Tennessee. This past season at Springfield High School, he caught 41 passes for 852 yards and 10 touchdowns, earning Prep Redzone All-State honors. After another offseason to develop, he looks to produce once again for one of the best programs in Class 4A.

https://twitter.com/CSmithMedia/status/2048495302064091156?s=20

He offers good size, standing 6-foot and weighing 175 pounds, with a long, well-built frame. Cobbins has elite athleticism, good route running, excellent football instincts and nice hands. He is incredibly elusive, which helps him to take the top off defenses consistently. The 2028 prospect high-points the football well, is physical and adjusts to passes at an elite level.

Photo: [player_tooltip player_id='817933' first='Jamir' last='Dean'] after the 2025 state championship. The rising senior is coming off a standout 2025 campaign, where he was named a Prep Redzone All-State selection and totaled 750 all-purpose yards with 11 touchdowns.

https://twitter.com/shaynep_media/status/2050275640427831584?s=20

He offers excellent size for his position, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 180 pounds with a long frame. Dean is one of the most athletic guys in Tennessee, which comes partially from his background as a basketball player. The rising senior has tremendous vertical and the ability to win 50/50 balls against any defensive back. He has a large catch radius, along with excellent hands that help him catch just about every pass.

Photo: Pearl-Cohn WR [player_tooltip player_id='1608413' first='Stephen' last='Saulter'] during a game.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1608413' first='Stephen' last='Saulter'] – Pearl-Cohn High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1608413' first='Stephen' last='Saulter'] is one of the most underrated wide receivers in Tennessee, but is coming off a good campaign for Pearl-Cohn. He led the team in all receiving categories, catching 43 passes for 838 yards and 12 touchdowns, earning a spot on the Prep Redzone All-State team. He holds 12 Division I offers and should see more come in with another standout season.

He offers good size for his position, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 184 pounds with an athletic frame that allows him to maintain his mobility and win against all types of defensive backs. The rising senior is a fluid mover with swift route running and strong footwork. He possesses good hands with a large catch radius and the ability to win downfield. Saulter needs to become more explosive, but I like his traits, tools and upside at the next level.

Photo: Stone Memorial WR [player_tooltip player_id='1608559' first='Kadyn' last='Page'] during a game.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1608559' first='Kadyn' last='Page'] – Stone Memorial High School

Stone Memorial's [player_tooltip player_id='1608559' first='Kadyn' last='Page'] was one of the best wide receivers in Class 4A a season ago, earning Prep Redzone All-State honors. In 12 games played, he caught 86 passes for 1,185 yards and 14 touchdowns. Now, he enters his final year of high school football, where the offensive playmaker looks to catch the eyes of college coaches.

He offers solid size for his position, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds with a lean frame that allows him to play all over the gridiron. Page is extremely athletic with a basketball background, which has helped him become better in jump-ball situations. The 2027 prospect is an excellent downfield threat with good footwork, strong hands, nice instincts and a large catch radius.

Photo: Fayette Ware WR [player_tooltip player_id='1651553' first='Layquan' last='Armour'] during a game.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1651553' first='Layquan' last='Armour'] – Fayette Ware High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1651553' first='Layquan' last='Armour']'s name goes well under the radar, especially in a loaded receiver class, but he was one of the best players in Class 4A a season ago. In 10 games played, he caught 39 passes for 825 yards and 11 touchdowns. The rising senior has an intriguing skill set that should be landing him more collegiate interest, but that's what I'm here for.

https://twitter.com/cincoquan/status/2014871911025594670?s=20

He offers nice size, standing 6-foot and weighing 170 pounds, with a long frame that helps him win downfield. Armour is highly athletic with some of the best body control in this class, which is a recipe for success. He has the wheels to outrun most defensive backs, but can also come down with a contested grab. The rising senior must polish up in certain areas, but the upside and necessary tools are all there.

Tennessee high school football is loaded with talent heading into the 2026 season, and the Class 4A group is packed with standout offensive playmakers. As summer approaches, several guys are emerging as top prospects to watch in Tennessee high school football recruiting.
