Simeon 2027 Back James Bell Talks Skill Set, Season, Recruitment

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We were able to evaluate and speak with Simeon 2027 running back <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1791842' first='James' last='Bell'] </strong>at the recent UA Next Camp where he competed with some of the top prospects in the country.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 5'10” running back from Simeon created separation from the linebacker on shorter routes in one on one drills.&nbsp; Snatches the ball out of the air right away from the defender.&nbsp; Had a really nice grab on a wheel route getting separation downfield for a nice over the shoulder grab.&nbsp; This is all in addition to what he brings as a pure running back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We spoke with the Wolverines running back about his junior season at Simeon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“It went well.&nbsp; I played both sides of the ball at both linebacker and running back.&nbsp; Overall we did good.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He broke down his style as a runner in the backfield.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“Aggressive and run with violence.&nbsp; I like to run through faces with stiff arm.&nbsp; The first man can't tackle me.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bell currently holds 18 offers.&nbsp; What schools are most involved at this stage of the process?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“Mizzou, Western Kentucky, Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona State, and Miami.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He is looking to set up visits right now.&nbsp; Where does he want to go?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“As many as I can.&nbsp; Miami and Kentucky.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bell told us what will be important for him in a program.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“I have to have a bond with the coaches.&nbsp; I don't want to just go somewhere for the money or the fame.&nbsp; I want to go somewhere I can develop.”</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As of now he has no timeline for a decision.&nbsp; Currently he checks in as the #42 overall prospect and #4 running back in the Prep Redzone Illinois 2027 Rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
