While it may have rained off and on during the camp session that didn't dampen the mood or the competition of the campers. The Oilers were able to attract a strong group of players, and it showed. The competition was strong and several players showed out with a few earning scholarships. So, let's take a look at some players who I thought shined at the camp.

2027 CB [player_tooltip player_id='2065111' first='Kam' last='Reynolds'] Swan Valley HS, MI 6'0 148- As much talent as there was at the camp in my opinion Reynolds had the best day of anyone there. His testing was elite (Shuttle- 4.25, 40-4.4). In 1v1's he had the receivers locked down all night long. He used his length well and showed great hands at the line of scrimmage. With his speed and athleticism, he was able to mirror and stay in the receiver's hip pocket all night long. He did a great job of high pointing the ball to bat it away or intercept it. If Kam can keep adding good weight and keep his explosiveness, he could be a big-time playmaker at the next level. Findlay offered Kam after camp.

2027 DT [player_tooltip player_id='2224954' first='Ryan' last='Kolb'] Tippecanoe HS, OH 6'1 243- Kolb had a really strong evening. His thick frame and low center of gravity were a problem for opposing blockers in 1v1's. He consistently bullied blockers into the pocket. He has a really strong get-off and keeps great pad level firing out and stays low through first contact. With the help of his strong performance Ryan earned a scholarship offer from Findlay.

2027 DB [player_tooltip player_id='2224955' first='Kash' last='Jordan'] Vandalia Butler HS, OH 5'10 172- Kash camped as a cornerback, but I really like him as a safety. He excelled with the play in front of him and took strong angles to the ball in the tackling drills. In 1v1's he was physical and played with strong hands at the line of scrimmage. He was sound in his coverage. I thought Jordan had a really strong night. I'm excited to see what he puts on film this fall.

2027 DL [player_tooltip player_id='2224956' first='Ethan' last='Dixon'] Cincinnati Northwest HS, OH 6'1 228- Ethan's combination of size and explosiveness was fully on display. His burst off the ball in 1v1's was really strong. His lateral movement and ability to stutter step and explode downhill was a nearly unblockable move. He has a strong feel for stringing moves together. His testing was strong as he posted a 4.35 in the shuttle and a 40 of 4.77. Ethan is the kind of player that I think could really take his game to another level as he continues to fill out and get stonger.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1301311' first='Blake' last='Francis'] John Glenn HS, MI 5'10 155- In my opinion Francis had the best day of all of the receivers in attendance. He showed the suddenness to shake loose from the defender and then he showed off the speed to create separation vertically. He showed the ability to high point and to catch through contact. Blake's ability to stretch the field vertically is backed by strong testing numbers. His 4.25 shuttle and 4.53 40 track when you see his play. It can and should translate to the next level.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1343586' first='Sean' last='Clore'] Fairfield HS 6'8 220- Clore is a physically imposing quarterback. His arm talent is where he wins. He has a compact motion, and he creates easy whip and velocity. He showed the ability to make the intermediate throws and showed an excellent deep ball.

2027 TE [player_tooltip player_id='2224959' first='Travis' last='Severance'] Butler HS, OH 6'3 209- Severance posted good testing numbers with a 4.59 shuttle and a 4.81 forty. In 1v1's Travis was consistently able to use his size and strength to play through any physicality by defenders and then use his speed to create separation. He got open frequently and made plays. Athletically he has what it takes to play at the college level for him it will be working on his breaks and route running that will help him excel.

2027 DT [player_tooltip player_id='2224961' first='Dominick' last='Walker'] Massillon Perry HS, OH 6'0 255- Dominick showed off good quickness. Even though he measured in at 6'0 he measured a wingspan of 6'4. He's able to use that length to create separation from blockers long arming. He showed off a good get-off and a nice dip move that he was able to win with.

2027 OT [player_tooltip player_id='2224986' first='Dom' last='McKee'] Lima Central Catholic HS, OH 6'5 237- At 6'5 237 pounds with a 6'5 wingspan McKee has the desired length to play the tackle position. ToH go with that good frame, he has quick feet and is a fluid mover. He was more of a basketball player growing up, but if he puts his focus on getting bigger and stronger he possesses the athletic traits to be a good offensive tackle at the college level.

2027 QB Bryor Carmichael Knightstown HS, IN 6'5 209- Carmichael was a player that I'd not seen before. I walked away impressed with the Senior to be. So were the University of Findlay coaches as he earned an offer from the Oilers. He has the size and frame that coaches covet. As a thrower what really stood out for me was his ability to throw to all three levels. The mechanics look good and he looked comfortable and confident making all of the throws.
