Newly-Ranked 2029 WRs

We're in the middle of our 2029 rankings content after publishing our <a href="https://prepredzone.com/north-carolina/rankings/2029-north-carolina-high-school-football-rankings/">late spring rankings update</a> earlier this week. While we've covered some <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/06/behind-the-scenes-of-the-2029-rankings-spring/">big-picture topics</a> surrounding the class, we haven't yet talked about any of the 41 new faces. He got his touches in almost every game as the Bulls made getting the freshman the ball a priority. As a sophomore, that volume should only grow, which makes sense, given he doesn't physically look like an underclassman. He's able to match up physically as a receiver, and the route-running nuance should come with more reps.     A two-way player, Little didn't have a ton of playing time last season, but impressed with his ball skills, speed, and feel for the game. He's a high-upside receiving prospect who could factor in for one of the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/03/way-too-early-5a-top-10/">top teams in the 5A class.</a>     Evans was one of the most <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/05/prep-redzone-north-carolina-exposure-camp-winners/">surprisingly impressive players</a> in attendance at our Prep Redzone Exposure Camp, regardless of position. He's a smooth route-runner who excels both before the catch and at the catch point. I'm not sure what Northern Guilford's receiver rotation will look like after the Nighthawks lose three of their top four pass-catchers, but it's easy to think Evans will factor in.     Perry is part of a strong 2029 class for Cuthbertson. The Cavaliers struggled to find consistency in the passing game, but Perry was the second-leading receiver. He has some speed, and the Cavaliers liked having him operate close to the line of scrimmage to win after the catch.     I really like West Columbus as a dark horse in the 2A class, as the Vikings return most of their production on the offensive side of the ball. McLeod mostly operated around the line of scrimmage, as West Columbus' coaching staff wanted the ball in his hands. He's small, but difficult to bring down, and we're excited to see him expand his route tree in the coming years.     Hadley first hit our radar when we were breaking down <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/03/top-8-wrs-in-alamance-chatham-lee-county/">Alamance County wide receivers</a> earlier this offseason. Cummings graduates its leading receiver from 2025, though Hadley was right behind with just under 400 yards in nine games. He scored five touchdowns, flashing the ability to make tough catches between the numbers.     Wise-Smith has both the size and the speed to contribute for 7A Mooresville this season. He measured in at our Prep Redzone Exposure Camp with a 74-inch wingspan and ran his 40 in the low-4.6s. He's a crisp route-runner who showed us enough that night to work his way into the rankings.     King-Chiles has great hands, which is one of the first things to look for when evaluating young receivers. I'm not sure how much he'll play on the varsity team this season with some talented slot receivers ahead of him on the depth chart. He impressed me at our <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/05/prz-exposure-camp-wr-analysis/">Prep Redzone Exposure Camp</a> enough to add him to the rankings earlier than we'd typically add a player.
