Lexington Wide Receivers to Watch in 2026

As we get deeper into the month of June, the 2026 high school football season is getting closer and closer. The offseason is in full swing and players across the state of Kentucky are looking to make a name for themselves. With that being said, I wanted to take a look at the city of Lexington in particular and highlight some players at each position to keep an eye on this season. After already covering the quarterbacks and running backs, here are four wide receivers to watch in Lexington this upcoming season.    [player_tooltip player_id='1715694' first='Kaden' last='John'] is one of the most intriguing returning wide receivers in the state for the 2026 season. He has played in more of a rotational role so far but he has put together some impressive film when on the field. John is a dangerous deep threat as he is able to use his speed blow by opposing defensive backs with ease. He has also proven to have very reliable hands, catching the ball away from his body regardless of what type of coverage is around him. Kaden holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and UT-Martin, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more come his way as he takes on a bigger role in the Broncos' offense this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='2222916' first='Chaii' last='Paris'] is coming off a solid junior year in which he caught 51 passes for 436 yards and seven touchdowns in nine games. Paris is very reliable in contested/jump ball situations as he has the athleticism to attack the ball at its highest point and the strong hands to bring in catches through contact. He has also shown the speed to create separation in the deep passing game. Paris has received some college interest and I can see some offers coming his way sometime this offseason.     [player_tooltip player_id='1638833' first='Brady' last='Couch'] unfortunately missed most of last season due to injury but he still remains one of the top players in the state in his class. He is a very reliable deep threat on the outside as he is able to use his long strides to run by opposing defensive backs to create separation. Couch also has a high catch radius and does a great job of adjusting to the ball in the air when necessary. He has also played a role on defense as a defensive back. Couch currently holds offers from Toledo, Eastern Kentucky, and Delaware State, and I expect more to come his way going into his junior year.     My final wide receiver to watch in the city of Lexington this upcoming season is [player_tooltip player_id='1089872' first='Kane' last='Bell-Pointer']. In his first season with the Broncos this past year, Kane caught 19 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. He is a very skilled route runner who is able to use his quick release and smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Bell-Pointer also has explosive speed which he uses to pose as a deep threat and to pick up yards after the catch. Kane is a player who I expect college coaches to have their eyes on over the next couple years.
