First Look: Virginia’s ranked 2028 prospects, Part 2

He has good instincts, knows how to play with leverage, and doesn't shy away from being physical. On a few run plays, he takeson bigger blockers while maintaining outside leverage. Pugh is able to overcome being undersized with his speed and technique. He's not going to knock over too many people, but he takes great angles to make sure tackles. I would like to see if he's gotten any bigger since the end of last season. His highlights are a mix of varsity and junior varsity plays. If I was him, i would resequence his highlights and put the best defensive plays in front. Roberts plays out on the edge and inside. Either way, he is disruptive, strong, and has good size. I like the way Roberts gives big effort in pursuing the ballcarrier and battle through double-teams. He plays disciplined, as evidenced on two plays where he defends against the RPO correctly by holding down the edge and also crashing on the ballcarrier. Looks like he plays in an offense that incorporates a lot of receivers. Wright's versatility is a plus, he lines up at X, Y, and Z through the first several plays in his highlights. I think it's a nice mix of short to intermediate plays on his highlights. Wright has good functional speed and change-of-direction for his frame. Not his fault, but would like to see some more route variety though the first ten plays in his highlights (a few 5-yard hitches in a row). I decided to go with wide receiver for this evaluation because the very first five plays are of the offensive variety. He plays in the slot and his highlights suggest that his coaches know how to use him to exploit zone defenses. The majority of his big plays come from him running go-routes from the slot position straight down the middle of the field. Miller is able to create separation downfield and finish with big plays (a lot of long touchdowns that involved big yards after the catch). He knows how to adjust his routes when necessary and finds holes in the defense. Would like to see more of a route variety within those first several plays (short to intermediate routes). That's just being picky, he clearly has big-play abilities. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
